OK, this is probably an odd, but esy question. =)
I taught myself PHP from a Julie Meloni book and newsgroup questions.
So, I don't think I've really learned the proper way of organizing and
formatting and commenting PHP scripts.
I had an opportunity to work with someone using ASP.Net, and MAN was
the formatting strict and clear and precise and complete! So, I've
tried to do something similar with my PHP:
Putting all functions together at the top, using:
/*############## ############### #######
## BLOCKS LIKE THIS TO HEAD SECTIONS
############### ############### #######*/
///////////////////////////////////////////////
// Sections like this for small sub sections
Tabbing IF and WHILEs and the like.
What are some other examples of proper notation and formatting that
one would probably learn in a programming class which I've never had
the benefit of? =)
Oh, and I learned from some Linux shell script tutorial to comment the
top of the file with something like:
// name_of_file.ph p -- This script solves world peace
// written: 2004-09-10 By: Me
Thanks for any suggestions or samples!

I strongly suggest you to use the Javadoc-based comments, as many tools
such as PHPDocumentor recognize it. Even PHP5 recognize it by default.

Hi All,
I have struggled through this far with help from many of you so thanks. I am
stuck again. I am really new to this so don't be harsh :-)
There are a few problems. You can run the script here

I've got six unbound text boxes on a subform that has a white
background. Each of those six boxes has an expression that when true,
will change its background from white to another color. These text boxes
need to go behind a single line of other bound text boxes (which show
the actual record). I.e., the purpose of the unbound text boxes
w/conditional formatting is to highlight the record/background with one
of six colors.

Does anyone know a way you can use conditional formatting to create a banded
style view as is commonly seen on the internet. (In othe words the first
record appears on a gray background, the 2nd on white, the third on gray etc
etc.) I could write an expression based on the odd/even status of the
primary key but this wont work when sorting and filtering is applied.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi!
I am trying to make several 1x3 tables on a webpage, where all three cells
have black backgrounds and white text. However, I want the space around each
of the cells, and the whole box to be coloured (see
http://www.bytronic.com/martinTest/table.gif). I will be programatically
changing the colour of this border on the client side, based on data from an
embeded asp.net page.
Is there a way I can set the html/css up so that I can do...

Hi folks,
I just need some advice about books/where to look about this subject.
I've got a number of happily running .NET apps that are doing the business
and have some good formatting, as long as the user is using IE. Non of
these applications are doing anything particularly special, just
straightforward navigate, add/edit and reporting functionality...no activeX
or java apps.

1) From 2.4.2 documentation:
There are two new valid (semantic) forms for the raise statement:
raise Class, instance
raise instance
2) In python:
>>> raise NameError

File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?

Hello,
I have a page with an ImageButton that is used to redirect to another page.
When the page first opens, everything looks as expected. However, when I
click on the image, the new page opens as expected. However, when I go back
to the original page, all the font sizes are larger. Its as if by clicking
on the ImageButton, my CSS formatting was discarded.
When I look at the source for the following code, this is what I get:

Can someone recommend a good source of C/C++ coding style.
Specifically, I am interested in commenting style and in
particular how to indent comments and the commented code, rather
than when to use comments. Thanks in advance!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
