Moving through records in table in a single record page

RT
Hello;

I'm trying to create a updates pages that I can move either to the previous
record or the next record within a recordset without having to return to the
repeating list of records after each up date.

Assuming I have done the recordset correctly, which I have and the update
records command as well here is the code I'm trying to use:

<?php
$prev = ''; $next = '';
$result = mysql_query("SE LECT id FROM affiliates WHERE id <
$row_rsaffiliat e[id] ORDER BY id DESC");
if ($result)
{
$row = mysql_fetch_row ($result);
$prev = $row[0];
mysql_free_resu lt($result);
}
$result = mysql_query("SE LECT id FROM affiliates WHERE id <
$row_rsaffiliat e[id] ORDER BY id ASC");
if ($result)
{
$row = mysql_fetch_row ($result);
$next = $row[0];
mysql_free_resu lt($result);
}
?>

<?php
if ($prev) echo '<a
href="../affiliateeditfo rm.php?id=' . $prev . '"><b>&lt;&lt;P rev</b></a>';
else echo '<b>&lt;&lt;Pre v</b>';
?>
<?php
if ($next) echo '<a
href="../affiliateeditfo rm.php?id=' . $next . '"><b>Next&gt;& gt;</b></a>';
else echo '<b>Next&gt;&gt ;</b>';
?>
This code works in another page I copied it from but in the page I paste it
into so that leads me to believe I'm missing something.

In the New page the Prev and Next labels show up as text and not links
between the records as I want.

Any thoughts anyone.

Thanks

RT

How do I get all fields on one page of a report? I have a report that has a column for each day of the week and 6 records for each day. I need each weekday's records returned on only one detail page. Instead I am getting a new table layout for each day of the week. I have tried grouping on every record and combination I can, manipulating the Group Properties but can't get it right. I have the entire report in the Detail Section, with...

Hi I just want to be sure I understand how the Access client works. If I have an Access back end with a million records on a server and an Access client. If the client is installed on the users pc and run by the user...does Access drag the whole million records across the LAN when we call up one record ie filters for that record locally? If the client is on the same server as the back end, and the user starts up the client on the server...

Hi I have a database that I use to keep track of the sales promotions that we send to companies. I normally send a mailing based on a subset of the companies in the database (found using the query: QryICTMassDistribution3) , I then use a form and the code below to create a new record in the corrispondence table to show what corrispondence has been sent to various companies.

I've posted about this subject before but haven't really got anywhere yet. I have now come up with a plan of action that takes into account my strong desire to implement save/discard functionality on all key forms. The first thing to do is to successfully split the database. I then rewrite to support multiple users. To allow the save/discard feature I create copies of the key tables and append the word Final to each one. For example I...

In a database search application (vb2005), the user wants to be able to scroll through records using the mousewheel. The data display form contains textboxes for the main data and a datagridview for the detail data for each main record. The form also contains btnBegining, btnPrevious, btnNext, btnEnd. In the btnNext.MouseWheel event I can increment/decrement the main data currencymanager position of the main dataset (depending on...

Hopefully someone can help me out with this, it's driving me nuts... I have two tables - We'll call them table1 and table2. Table1 holds event information, and table2 holds user registration data pertaining to each event in table1. So for each record in Table1 there could be hundreds of records pertaining to that record in Table2 - I am trying to count those records (to reveal the number of people registered for the event held in table1) I...

I have a moving dispatcher database. There are 99 drivers, 99 loaders, and 50 different vehicles. The scheduler database is built on a 13 4 week month year so that it can be used repeatedly in any subsequent year and recalculate the dates so that each year it is referenced to the first available business day of any given week. This is done by running an update query that calculates the date based on a formula related to the month week and...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
