Hi,
this question is 50% mssql and 50% php. To get field definitions and other
informations for table 'myTable', I use with sql server:
EXEC sp_help myTable
The problem with php is this command returns several result sets, and
informations about field types is not in the first one. If I query mssql

Hello,
we upgraded our PostgreSQL from 7.2 to 7.4, because we want to use the
enhanced full-text searches,
which should be build in now.
I can't find any informations how to implement an optimized search in the
docs ....
Today the search feels like " fieldvarchar30 ~* '^VALUESTRING.*' " ,
is the full text search based on special indizes, a special table type or
whatever ?

Hello, I would like to access a UDB database on a Sun Solaris 5.8.
The client is a XP station.
When I list the default odbc drivers, I found "Microsoft ODBC Driver for DB2".
But I think it can not be used to access a UDB DB on Unix machine.
So where can I find a ODBC driver ?
Thank you

Hi all,
I have a form (named Offices) with a subform (named Occupants) that connect
with the Master/Child Field "office number". I have a combo box that allows
a user to pull up a particular office and see the listing of its occupants,
no problem.
Next, I tried to create a combo box that would allow users to search for a
particular occupant within the subform regardless of which office was
selected. However, nothing happens. At least...

Hi.
I'm very new to MS Access and have been presented with an Access database
of contacts by my employer.
I am trying to redesign the main form of the database so that a button
entitled 'search' may be clicked on by the user and the user can then
search all records by postcode. I want to do this to prevent duplicate
data entry.

hi,
i have created a search form, and i want to search for a specific item in a
field.
e.g. i have a field called colour, which has record1 = 'red, blue, green'
and another record2 = 'red'
now, when i do the search, and only type in red, to search for red, it only
brings back record 2, and not record 1 as well.

I place the cursor in the appropriate field and click search. when the find window opens up, by default, the Look in: field is: 'Main application form: form' and the 'search field...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
