Hi All,
I have an asp script which updates upto 300000 records each time it is run.
I would like to have a textbox which says records progressed : then in
increments of 100 or 1000 whilst the script is running. Is this possible to
do with a textbox? I've tried using the response.flush with a variable
which kinda works but it displays as follows;
1000
2000
3000

The last reply got sort of cutoff. So here again:
So for anyone interested, here's the simple regexp patterns for the
substitutions required.
The textbox control is being 'zoomed' in a popup which uses a web
browser control. As soon as any numeric entity gets put into the
browser control, it's lost. It will display properly. But it can't be
then read back out with document.body.innerHTML (or outerHTML). It's

Does anyone knwo how I can bind a textbox to a single dataset/dataTable row?
The following will give me only a Column:
textBox1.DataBindings.Add(new System.Windows.Forms.Binding("Text",
this.myDataTable, "TableNaam"))
But in my program I need a textbox (that I can edit) directly bound to a
fixed cel in a Dataset/ dataTable.

The following control code - only allows for the entry of
numbers, backspace, and decimals (or periods). The
problem lies in the last statement - it allows multiple
decimals or periods. How would I modify the code to only
allow 1 decimal? In other words - once a user entered one
period - no others could be entered?

System.Object, ByVal e As...

I have a simple form with one button and one text box. In the Form, I create
an array list to track the events by adding a descriptive string item to the
arraylist in each event. I first Click on the Button then Click on the
TextBox and enter an "a" then click on the Button again. The following is
what I get for the event tracking Arraylist:
but - GotFocus
but - Clicked
but - LostFocus

I have a table with 1 row which is used to hold some application wide items
(one item per field, hence I only need 1 row).
I want to bind one of the fields to a textbox. After setting up the
oledbconnection and dataAdapter and filling the DataSet (ds) I tried this:
TextBox1.DataBindings.Add("text", ds.Tables.Item("MyFile"), "MyField")
I then put the following code in the SAVE button click event:

I use A97. I've gotten used to reading values from textbox controls
on forms, I've come to rely on it pretty heavily. My habit spills over
into reports. I'm uncertain whether I can reliably read the values
in textbox controls on reports during the OnFormat event code
the same way I've been doing so in forms.
I have a report I call the 402 report and on it is a LaborCost
textbox. I use a line of code something like this
If txtLaborCost...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
