I was wondering how I could get the username of the user that is logged in
though the auth of IIS...
Is also a way where I can get information on the current user from Active
Directory, is there sometime of dll for this?

I have an extension Class to Auth and I'm looking for some folks to hammer
on it a bit and give feed back.
Class: AuthUser
- add user (well, Auth does that now, so its gone)
- remove user (well, Auth does that now, so its gone)
- change password (well, Auth does that now, so its gone)
- case sensitive ID match - some DBS don't
- limit login attempts (as far as it can go on a browser)
- return to original page after login

Stupid question time: Why does Forms Auth just keep going to the login page
when access is denied? A 403 error is never raised..at least in my testing
it doesn't.
If I have a particular web or just a page secured then anyone accessing the
page, who is already authenticated but not a permitted user or perhaps not
in a permitted role, will just keep getting the login page. If the user is
permitted or is in the proper role they do get...

I use PEAR::Auth module to login my users.
I noticed the lack of the 'remember me' feature (and the method
'setExpire' isn't enough).
So I wonder HOW can I extend this package and provide the 'remember me'
feature.

I am about to implement an authentication system on the site I am
building. I don't care much what users choose for their username and
password, but I want to verify that users have given a valid email
address before allowing them access to restricted content. Will Auth
facilitate the email validation process, or does it only deal with
usernames and passwords?

I've started playing with the Auth module, and I have a quick question
before I go any deeper. Is it possible to embedd the Auth login form
in an HTML page? I would like to put a login form in a sidebar of a
page. The problem seems to be that Auth relies on sessions, which
causes problems when the start() function sends header information.
Any suggestions and examples would be welcome.
