problem in session variable and database connection

121 New Member
hi everybody,

l have one doubt, please clarify that if anybody knows.

Can i able to take database connection across the page through session variable, without initializing connection on every page.

If above one is possible, please let me know with explanation.

I already tried this method by taking database connection and assigning it into
session variable. then i tried to use the connection of session variable to another page, but it's not working.. means database connection is not establishing.

this is my problem,

thank you

Hi, I ve ended up debugging a ASP.NET project (with about 380 files on the project .NET Framework 1.0 on IIS 5.0) which has a memory leak... The memory rises too fast. With about 25-30 active sessions (average) the memory rises about 300 MB's in an hour. I've checked the database (SQL Server 2000) and seen that there are lots of sleeping connections. (about 400!!!) I thought somewhere in the code they left the connection open, so decided...

Hello, I have a web service that reads its web.config file to connect to an Oracle database. There are a number of methods in this socalled BACKBONE that either send inforomation to or from the database. That works great. I have the INTERFACE which is what the user sees. When the page is first navigated to, it creates an object of the BACKBONE and calls certain Web Methods to get data so I may populate dropdown lists and such.

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
