OpenID authentication failed: Server denied check_authentic ation

In the consumer example included with the latest version of the
openidenabled.c om php library 2.0.0, I get the following error:

OpenID authentication failed: Server denied check_authentic ation

I've found this issue posted elsewhere, but with a few different
variations: it's either being experienced with the python library
instead of with php, or it's identified as a bug, or a problem with
the openid provider itself in one case, etc., but I've not yet found a
way to fix the problem.

I'm trying to verify with a claimID.com openid. Info on local
environment: IIS 5.1/PHP 5.2.5. Thank you for any input..

Here's an idea. Why not ask on the OpenId site? They know what their
product does - we don't.

I'm looking for information on this in a few places. I don't think the
initial post is off-topic: I've an issue with a php library I think
others would potentially be familiar with. Thanks.

This isn't a PHP programming question - it's about a product.

According to your theory, since Linux is written in C, you could ask any
Linux questions you want in a C programming group. After all, some
people there might be familiar with Linux.

Not at all. It's an exact parallel. You're asking about a third-party
library which interfaces to PHP. My parallel is for a system library
which interfaces to C. Your question is no more valid for a PHP
newsgroup than a Linux question is for a C newsgroup.

And so far you haven't asked a single question about coding in PHP.

You'll save yourself a lot of trouble if you ask package/product-related
questions in the support area for that package/product.

I think the idea of posting widely varied linux-oriented questions
('Is gnome better than kde?', for instance) in a c programming group
is in no way identical to that of posting a question on an error being
yielded by php code in comp.lang.php. I indicated in an earlier post
that I'm looking for the information elsewhere, too, but I've the
impression you're less interested in giving me a pointer that would
lead to the information I need than in being a visible officer of
comp.lang.php law, based on your interpretation thereof, which in your
opinion I've violated. I'm not very interested in that: I'm not
trolling, and I don't think the initial post was off-topic, though I
too definitely think it worth looking for this information in other
places, including any openid newsgroups, e-mail lists, etc.

In other words, I posted a brief inquiry on a php code error, which is
now an overgrown, off-topic thread instead..

I have an intranet application I've built using asp.net 3.5 / running on IIS6. The problem: when a user trys to access a page that they do not have access to, they are given the annoying windows authentication popup, which is useless because they are denied in the web.config file. After 3 tries or hitting cancel, they are then directed to the Access Denied page. How can I get rid of that popup ???

The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
