It turns out that the culprit that crashed my php5ts.dll as below is
php_threads.dll .
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks
BTW: I remove php_threads.dll from extensions and it works now. Am I going
to miss any
any critical php5 functionality withouth php_threads.dll ? Thanks

Hi guys,
As PHP5 is on its final beta, we decided to start writing a web application
in it to take advantage of the much better object support it offered.
We're running the php-5.0.0b3-Win32.zip installation on a Win2K server
platform alongside PHP4. I have used a hex editor to change instances of
php.ini to ph5.ini in php4ts.dll so that the existing PHP4 installation is
not affected.

I've upgraded to PHP5 from PHP4 on a Win2K3 Server and now I can't use the
MySQL databases.
I checked the documentation, to discover that MySQL libraries are no
longer bundled with PHP. So I've uncommented the 'extension=php_mysql.dll'
and copied libmySQL.dll to Windows\System32 (as well as Windows,
Apache2\bin, and anywhere else I could think of).
Now, whenever Apache starts it gives the following error:
PHP Startup: Unable to load...

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to call the php parser from
a Win32 program (e.g. a VB or C++ program), WITHOUT calling the
commandline php.exe utility. I mean, is there any "php_parse"
function, exported by the php5ts.dll, which I can declare in my Win
program and then call to parse a php script?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
How do I shutdown a win32 COM server?
I am scripting Adobe Illustrator through its COM interface.
The problem is that Illustrator has memory leaks.
And after a few hours of running, Illustrator will start to behave
oddly
until eventually it refuses the create new COM objects.
The solution is to close Illustrator and then restart it.

Over the last days I desperately tried to install Python 2.3.4 and the
Win32 extensions on a Win 95 box (actually more than 1, but my futile
trying was done on just one).
Since the 201 version didn't work on Win XP, I initially started with
version 163. When the installer tries to compile the library files, up
comes a dialogue with a traceback telling me that 'import win32api'
failed since a DLL load failed due to a non-functioning...

I tried a sample code provided in Microsoft .NET on how to make a call to
Win32 GetOpenFileName. It crashed if I call the function, select a file and
close the dialog and repeat the process several times.. I got the following
error :
An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in
system.windows.forms.dll
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an

Hello everyone:
I have come to love the ease of updating PHP, since getting used to
using it these past few years. Recently, however, when I upgraded from
PHP 5.1 to PHP 5.2.0 and again when moving to 5.2.1, I noticed strange
behavior when trying to load php_mysqli.dll. I am using Apache 2.2.3
on Windows XP Pro (32-bit). I use the php5apache2_2.dll to load PHP as
an Apache module. The PHPIniDir directive in httpd.conf points to the...

Apologies if my cross posting has offended anyone....
For a pure hobbyist C/C++ programmer, who wants to develop
applications to run on Windows, what would be a better choice to
install: Visual C++ Express 2005 Edition or lcc-win32? Does anyone
have any opinion to share?
Also, is there a C++ compiler akin to lcc-win32?
Thanks,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
