AppServer Problem - How can I connect MySQL in another pc.

Hi,

I have some problem in developing program using PHP.

I 'll explain my platforms:

I use appserv-win32-2.5.9 as a app server.
In the server, mysql client version is 5.0.37

Problems:
I can connect mysql database in localhost. Of course, I can connect using phpmyadmin and coding "mysql_connect( host, user, pwd)".
host=100.100.10 0.8 or localhost
user=root
pwd=a

But my partner in another pc cann't connect database. In this case, he can connect using phpmyadmin, but he cann't do using coding or GUI tools.

So, we are developing in different db in different pc, then our work is difficult.
I think the problem is in App server configuration.

Am I right or not?

Please help me!..

May be a permission problem. try like this;
Login to mySQL server using phpmyadmin and on the home page you can find
Privileges > Add a new User >
Then Set
User name: userName for your partner
Host: partner's machine IP address here
Password: password for your partner

Set the Global privileges to User

Now try to access the MySQL server from the partner's machine. It should work. Let me know if it is not working. Thanks !
