Hello all,
I am writing a script where I need to use the system() function to call
htpasswd. I can do this just fine on the command line...works great
(see attached file, test.php). When my webserver runs that part of the
script (see attached file, snippet.php), though, it doesn't go through.
I don't get an error message or anything...it just returns a "1"
(whereas it should return a "0") as far as I can tell. I have read the
PHP...

Hi all,
I have the following being defined in a A.cxx file.
// define in source file. Not exported to the outside world (this
cannot be
// moved to the header file )
#define CHANNEL_0 0
#define CHANNEL_1 1
#define CHANNEL_2 2

"#define" can only be inside the global scope before main() function.
"#if" can be tested after "#define" is executed. The problem is that
"#define" can't be inside main() function. I do not wish to create multiple
functions which they look almost identical in C++ source code. The C++
compiler should be able to compile one Test() function into two almost
identical functions before they are translated into the machine language
object. ...

Where should I use them?
I am giving you my understandings. Please correct me if I am wrong:
MACRO:
e.g.:#define ref-name 99
The code is substituted by the MACRO ref-name. So no overhead.
Execution is faster. Where will it be stotred?(Is it in bss/stack/?)

On a project I'm working on, I ran across the following macros:
/* assume s is struct stream *, s->p is char, v is unit16_t or uint32_t */
#define in_uint16_le(s,v) { v = *((s)->p++); v += *((s)->p++) << 8; }
#define in_uint32_le(s,v) { in_uint16_le(s,v) \
v += *((s)->p++) << 16; v += *((s)->p++) << 24; }
I'm personally not fond of function-like macros and wanted to turn these
into static inline functions, but I'm having trouble doing...

Dear all,
I have been posting about a problem trying to encrypt certain data using
HMAC-SHA1 functions. I posted that my problem was solved, but
unfortunately, I was being overly optimistic. I am really desperate now,
because I havent' been able to locate the origin of the problem for a
couple of days now..
PROBLEM: the message digest obtained differs each time I execute the
code, but works perfectly when applying the "control", that...

Hi, I have a question about injecting friend functions within template
classes. My question is specific to gcc (version 3.4.5) used in
combination with mingw because this code (or at least code that gets
the same result) works as expected in visualc++. I know that this is
probably not the right behavior for a compiler but it's the kind of
behavior I'm searching for so I was hoping there was a way to do the
same thing in gcc.
As you know...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
