I fired a query on a mysql db , and got the result for it, using
$result = mysql_query("SE LECT * FROM population");
, where, $result is a resource......
now , i want to save the results as a ' .dbf' file, which requires one
of the parameters for its creation as array of arrays...
so , now i want to convert the $result variable as "array of array".
How to do that ? 1 9109

Start with http://us.php.net/manual/en/function...etch-array.php.

I had some code that worked fine for several weeks, and then yesterday
it stopped working. I'm not sure what I did. Nor can I make out why it
isn't working. I'm running a query that should return 3 items from the
database. I then get a count of the return, which correctly tells me
that I've got 3 items. I then go into a for loop which I expect to
loop 3 times and print out the 3 items. Here is where things get
strange: it loops 3 times and...

I posted before, but have now narrowed my problem down to this method.
At the start of the method, I test to make sure that I have a
resource, a pointer to data returned from a database. This test is
coming back true, so the next line runs, which attempts to get the
next row from the dataset. This brings back nothing. On the queries
I'm running right now, the first row will be fetched, but then no
further rows. If I expect 20 rows back, I...

I have a need to convert simple dates (i.e. 02/14/2005) to a number,
do some math, and convert back to a date. (in a simple query).
The math involves adding or substracting days, and days of the week .
I've used the weekday() function to convert dates to numberic days of
the week (1-7)
I've used cdbl (date) to convert a date to a serial number, but then I
do math with the number and I can't seem to convert this back to a
date.

i have a code that sends data to a socket listening over as400 platform,
the socket responds to me as a "byte array".
then i need to convert the "byte array" into a string.
the problem is that the data converted from the byte array into a string
, is not what i expect.
example:
- the data returned from the socket is (byte array)

Hello,
converting from the managed to the unmanaged world (and viceversa strings)
and byte arrays is something I do often and I'd like to identify the most
correct and efficient way to do it.
Also, I was wondering could there be issues in not making copies when
converting??? I was thinking, when "pointing" to the same data with both
managed and unmanaged strings/arrays couldn't there be issues such as the
garbage collector trying to...

Is there no C library function that will take an int and convert it to its
ascii representation? The example Bjarne shows in his faq is not extremely
convenient.

I'm using the first code sample below to play WAV files stored as
embedded resources. For some reason I *occasionally* get scratching
and crackling. I'm using a couple WAVs that ship with Windows, and
they play fine outside of my app.
This code works, but has the random "scratching" problem:
private static void PlayResource(string audioRes)
{
// Get the resource into a stream

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
