Hi there,
the task:
Any mail that drops into a specified mailbox shall cause a (php-)script to
immediately react with some action.
Quite a common task, isn't it?
I could use e.g. cron to let a script frequently look for new mail.
But mail drops in only once every few days, so I don't want to execute that
look-for-new-mail-script every 3 minutes. But IF mail drops in, the

I've got the following problem. I'm a biologist and I have a device at work
which monitors my frog habitat. The device has a bunch of sensors, and runs
an embedded html server with some java functions defined which know how to
read the hardware sensorts. I access it from wherever I am via any browser,
and it displays the measurements (a set of simple numbers) as Java applets
in a simple html page. One entry in this page (a table cell) looks...

Hi all I am working on a log in script for my webpage.
I have the username and the password stored in a PostgreSQL database.
The first I do is I make a html form, where the user can type in his
username and code, when this is done I want to run the
script(testifcodeisokay) that verifies that the code and username are the
right ones ( that means if they match the particular entered username and
password) If they are then I want to load...

Is it possible to call a remote php script from within Access? I'm thinking
something like:
DoCMD... http://www.domain.com/scripts/dataquery.php
DoCmd.OpenQuery "update_data", acNormal, acEdit
.....
So the PHP script does something on the server database, then when a linked
table is viewed within access, the data changes have been made?

Hi
We have an access database running on a win2k server over the internal LAN.
The server is protected by MS ISA Server from outside world. Is there a way
to periodically replicate the access database to another server that
residues outside of the ISA Server? The reason is that we want to run our
website on the second server but don't want it to access out main server
directly. Rather we want our main server to provide the database...

Hi! This is my first post...and when I begin working on this project, it will also be my first PHP project! I do have some programming experience from my first year at college, but that was in Scheme :-). I have not started work on this problem yet, because I am still doing research and figuring out how I can do it using PHP. My goal is to turn this into a Joomla module that I can offer for free on Joomla.org and use on a few of the websites I...

My daughter has been swimming year round in Mt. Pleasant, SC and she swims at meets with different pool lengths - 100 meters (Long Course Meters or LCM), 50 yards (Short Course Yards or SCY) and 50 meters (Short Course Meters or SCM).
I'd like to create an ASP page that has input forms to convert times for each pool length to determine how she does each swim. For example, if she swims 1 lap of freestyle in a 25-yard pool and does it in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
