I have a number of forms that do significant work based on variables
POSTed from the form. What is the common method of detecting and
preventing this work from being done when the form is POSTed as the
result of the user clicking the Back or Reload buttons in the browser?

I have an interactive web page that I need to prevent refreshes on.
The problem is that I want to ALLOW resubmissions, but only via the
submit button. My web page has two forms on it, one form for adding
users, and one form for removing users. I want to be able to add a
user, click the submit button, add another user, click the submit
button again, and so on, BUT, disallow adding a user and then hitting
refresh (which would add the same...

The values and text are static. I am reading from a table:

I have a web application with two forms. After user enters data in first form
he is directed to the second form. After Filling the second form as he clicks
on save button, the data entered is stored in the database using a
Transaction Object, That inserts data, entered by user in both the forms, in
the database.
My problem is where shall i store the data entered by the user in the first
form when he is redirected to next form and till i...

After logging out of my test site I would like to be able to not allow the
user to navigate back to previous pages. It's not super-important because if
they try to do anything the login state has been wiped and anything that
posts back or refreshes the page will send them back to the login screen...
but it would be nice if either the navigation history is wiped, or some
setting is set that causes all the previous content to be expired. Is...

I'm at a loss here...
My FormView control automatically performs a databind at each postback on
the server. But in some cases I don't want this to happen. Like when the
business layer decides that some of the information in the controls cannot be
accepted. But then the FormView binds to the datasource again, and the input
in all contols is lost. And the user will have to type it all over again.
In ASP.NET 1.1 we could simply say: If Not...

Hi,
I have a Java/JavaScript GUI application where I perform a lot of long DB
operations
, which takes 5-60 secs to perform.
Sometimes user double-clicks the button or just gets impatient and clicks
again,
which created duplicate forcm submission and hence duplicate records.
So I am trying to disable the button as soon as it is clicked, and as soon
as it's done,

Hi all
FIRST THE BORING BITS.......
I normally use a Database layer, a Business layer and a GUI layer.
The GUI uses an Object data source to bind to the Business layer which in
turn binds to the database layer. Every thing is great. I can read data,
change data in the grid, update the database, and when the GUI reloads, all
the changes are all present and correct. i.e. the data seems to be persisted

Hi all,
I have a split database. Both the forms, and the tables are stored on
a shared network drive (this is Access 2003).
The users use the forms, and the tables on the network drive, there
are no local copies.
When connection to this drive is lost, Access CRASHES. It does it
every single time. Does anyone know if there is a way to check if

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
