Who am I?:
Hi
I am a 'one-man-show' and mainly in the ecommerce and community
business based in Western Europe. With over 13 years experience in the
internet and telecommunicati on business, I am very strong focused on
the adult site. The last 4 years I have been working as well with 2
programmers where we have covered quiet interesting fields like
ecommerce, community building, sms-payment, premium-rated numbers
payment, voice application and so on. We all found out, this 'stuff'
is not difficult to handle.
Who I am looking for?:
I am seeking a LAMP programmer who can program nice and clean with at
least 2 years experience in these fields:
- Zend, Rubyonrails or something similar
- Experience in PHP application development (PHP 4.x)
- Knowledge of relational databases (preferably MySQL - 4.x/5.x)
- HTTP/HTML/JS/CSS
- Basic FreeBSD / UNIX system administration (sendmail, apache, DNS)
- Experience with Web services development
- Drupal - community system (not a must)
- IVR (not a must)
- Flash (not a must)
- SMS Connection (not a must)
and preferable from the country/region Ukraine as you have only 1 hour
time difference. This means you need to be online during my working
hours and stay online until the day is finished. You should be very
communicative, as this is the only way over chat to understand each
other. You should be also reachable by SMS, in case the server is
down. You will be responsible for the programming and as well for all
technical related issues regarding the server. As I work also with
adult related sites, you should not have any problems with adult
related material. But anyway, you will not be responsible for the
content, except manipulating images, videos, audio, etc. You should
speak, write and understand English and should you have some
experience in German that would be great!
How we will start and payments:
At the beginning we will start with easy stuff like installing
scripts, backups, script bug fixing, etc. and if the projects are
successful we will target the bigger projects. This means ant the
beginning I would like to work with you on an hourly/daily/weekly
bases with a payment of Euro 150.00 per week or Euro 30.00 per day.
Monthly payment would be Euro 600.00. Payout would be normally by end
of the month with an invoice form your site named to me. But we can
start of course also on a 2 weeks payout. A contract will need to be
signed. This is just to start with and to see how things will work
out. If all will work out great, I would like to hire you full time
and we can increase your salary.
Working hours:
My working hours are: Monday - Friday, 9.00 - 13.00, 14.00 - 18.00
(Western Europe Time)
Payment and Payout to start with:
Payment Monthly: Euro 600.00 Weekly: Euro 150.00 Daily: Euro 30.00
Payout will be done by end of the month to your local bank account.
All expenses like test calls, sms, necessary software, etc. will be
paid.
Contract:
A freelancer contract needs to be signed.
Your working environment should include:
- Good computer with fast and reliable internet connection
- Skype with Headset incl. Microphone
- Printer & Scanner
- ICQ/AIM chat over Trillian (good for 128bit secure chat)
- Webcam
- Mobile Phone with SMS
- Etc.
Companies:
Actually I am looking for an individual freelancer programmer, not for
a company. But if you should be interested in this job, you may
contact me as well if you are a very small company and you can promise
that I will have always the same person to work with. A must would be,
that you can supply the support during the vacation of my programmer
and that you work with a programming framework like Zend, etc.

Hello there,
Are there any out-of-the box handhelds that run Linux/Apache/MYSQL and
PHP? Does Redhat, Suse, or Gentoo support any handhelds?
I know the Zaurus comes close, but I've heard people have problems
running LAMP applications on it.
It would be cool to be able to run any LAMP application on sourceforge
on a handheld computer.
