I'm trying to send an email from my ASP page using
CDO.Message and CDO.Configuration. I couldn't get this to
work for ages and all my emails ended up in
inetpub\mailroot\queue.
I'm behind a firewall and finally figured out that i have
to set the smarthost field for the SMTP Virtual Server in
IIS to get any emails to send. All good, the emails get
sent.

I have no idea how to get started, really, but I am looking for a way to
have an email sent via an ASP page via our Exchange 2000 server.
I have a fairly simple asp page that displays data from a SQL 2000 database
in the form of web links. A part of this page allows people to post links to
the database for display. When someone posts a link, I would like an email
sent to me with the data (link) that they posted through the ASP page.

Hello group:
I have reached the end of my rope with this error. I have pretty much tried every suggestion I've found thus far and I
get this error no matter what I do. I did try using the CDOSYS test from Microsoft as a test for the smtpserver, and it'll send that way.
Here's my existing code:
Public Sub SendMail()
Dim myMailMsg As New Mail.MailMessage()

Hi,
I have an asp.net (vb) app where I am creating a Crystal Report,
exporting it to a .pdf file and then e-mailing that report, as an
attachment, to several users using System.Web.Mail.MailMessage(). One
of the properties is MailMessage. To which is my recipient list. All
is working well.
However, when I substitute individual email addresses in the
MailMessage. To string with the name of a distribution group, it fails

3. Relay only allow "127.0.0.1".
4. Authentication: "Anonymous access" only.
5. Outbound connection listen to TCP 25.

I'm using PHP 5 at home w/Apache & MySQL on a test system where I
write through a form to a database and also send an email to people on
a drop down list. Purpose for this is an electronic log at work where
an email goes out to let a person know an entry has been made with a
copy of the text on that email. Works fine on my test system at home
but not at work. I'm trying to remember which version of PHP I'm

Hi all,
The PHP manual states that: "The Windows implementation of mail()
differs in many ways from the Unix implementation. First, it doesn't
use a local binary for composing messages but only operates on direct
sockets which means a MTA is needed listening on a network socket
(which can either on the localhost or a remote machine). "
Does this mean that the sendmail binary is NOT needed on windows?

I'd like PHP to send mail to a local mailserver running at localhost:25
like I used to on windows. This mailserver is a dummy server which just
writes the mail to disk for unit testing and works fine when I use
thunderbird to send mail to it and used to work fine under windows
however...
It doesn't work under Ubuntu. Looking at my php.ini file I see...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
