I am using OS X and Dreamweaver MX. I am trying to make a connection
to the MySQL Server from within Dreamweaver using the Applications
panel and clicking on the "+". A window opens asking for:
Connection Name: Apress
MySQL Server: localhost
User Name: apress
Password: xxxxxx
Database (Select):
When I click select so the Dreamweaver can browse to the databases in
MySQL the connection is not being made because Dreamweaver cannot find

I am attempting to get MySQLdb 0.9.2 installed on Mac OS 10.2 with a
Fink distribution of Python 2.2.2. I have seen only a few posts on the
subject, some of them relate to "conflicting header files," but I don't
know what to do about conflicting header files, or where I would find
them, and once I found them, which ones to remove.
I have compiled MySQL 4.1 and installed into /usr/local/mysql, but
since have moved to a Fink...

I am just trying to decide whether to split my code and uses code behind. I
did it with one of my pages and found it was quite a bit of trouble.
I know that most people (and books and articles) like it because you can
split the code from the design. That is logical. But if you are the only
one working on the code, it seem a little overkill.
I use Dreamweaver to do my design and find it a bit of a hassle to have
multiple files open...

I have Apache Web Server 2.0.55 installed locally with MySQL 5.0.18-nt, and
of course PHP 5.1.2
I also have installed phpMyAdmin. It is accessible through
http://localhost/phpMyAdmin.
The pathing for directories is
C:\Apache\Apache2\htdocs-root folder for Dreamweaver 6.0 otherwise know as
MX 2004 I think.
C:\mysql, C:\mysql\data-databases including phpmyadmin
C:\php
C:\Apache\Apache2\phpmyadmin for phpMyAdmin scripts.

I am trying to set up a localhost testing server on windows xp home system using xampp. It installs and runs fine but I am having issues trying to get dreamweaver MX to connect to it for testing a MySQL database and PHP pages. I have a problem where I could not connect to mysql database from dreamweaver 8. I always get a "An unidentified error has occurred". However, I can connect to mysyl through phpadmin.

I set up the HTTPD and PHP ini file as described in most of the tutorials
but when i want to connect to DB per dreamweaver i get message:
YourPHP server dosn't have mysql module loaded or you can't use the
mysql_(p) connect functions.

The module is enabled so i dont know what's happening.
