[Resolved] Parsing HTML File

1 New Member
Hi,

I am trying to use preg_match to help parse an html file uploaded to the server. Right now I am just trying to get information that is between <b> and </b>, everything I have tried has returned errors by preg_match. I have tried using multiple patterns posted that I have seen and none have worked.

'<b>match1</b>' , character: '<b>match2</b>'

trying to get an expression to get match1 and match 2 out of that string...

Thanks for the help

*EDIT*

Finally figured it out by using two different expressions and using different peices of them together...

$pattern = "/\<b>(.+)\<\/b>/smU";

there it is for any one else who may need...

I'm parsing a CSV-file into a table on a webpage - and I'd like to be able to change the alignment for the _last_ <td> in each <tr> - but, as the file is today, it's not possible for me to assign a CSS-class on only the last <td>. I was wondering if anyone could give me a clue as to what I need to change in the following code, to make this possible (I'm assuming I need to have each <td> present in the code, so as to be able to assign a...

I can't seem to find any references to this, but here goes: In there anyway to parse an html/aspx file within an asp.net application to gather a collection of controls in the file. For instance what I'm trying to do is upload a html file onto the web server, convert it to aspx file and then parse it for input tags/controls, which in turn will become fields in a newly created database table. Clearly when the aspx file is called the...

Basically, I want to create a table in html, xml, or xslt; with any number of regular expressions; a script (Perl or Python) which reads each table row (regex and replacement); and performs the replacement on any file name, folder, or text file (e.g. css, php, html). For example, I often rename my mp3 (files); the folder holding the mp3 files; and replace these renamed values in a playlist/m3u/xml file. The table should hold clean...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
