Hey all, I just tried installing PHP5 under IIS for the first time, but I can't seem to get the php.exe to work. I unzipped the package, and pointed the IIS .php 'executable' attribute over to php.exe in the PHP5 folder, but when I then call up a .php page, it just stalls. If I then point the IIS .php executable over to php.exe in the

Hi all, Just a quick question... when I try to install Python on Windows Vista Beta 2 the installer seems to hang after I select the destination folder, saying that it will "return when it has finished calculating disk space requirements". I just can't seem to get past that step. I've also tried installing both 2.4.3 and 2.4.2 with no luck. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Read in one forum the question someone asked after successfully (sort of) installing Picture It 2000 on new computer with Vista. Will this person or any other help me accomplish this install on Vista, please. I tried installing Picture It and it seemed to do so. I got no error messages but it sure took a long time. Then when I tried to open the program it said "access denied" adding that I needed 30 meg of disk space (implying I didn't)...

After having worked with Apache/MySQL/PHP for a year or so under Linux I need, purely for convenience, to set up a parallel platform under Windows. Unfortunately, since I last did this (using Windows XP Pro) I've moved on to Windows Vista (Home Premium). MySQL and Apache2 have both installed satisfactorily, but I'm having problems with PHP5. I downloaded the PHP5 Windows installer (the .msi file) for 32-bit Windows, which is supposed...

I have an app that is built in Access 2002 and packaged with its runtime. When installing it in a Vista PC/laptop, several dialog boxes pop up that require specific answers for the app to install and work OK under Vista. Is there any way to make this installation more straightforward by pre-empting these dialog boxes and/or answering them automatically so that the User does not have to do it himself and probably get it wrong? Here is what I...

Hi All, I wonder why I bought the Vista Home Premium 64 bit laptop (perhaps only the 64 bit thing lured me :) :( ) because I am unable to do anything really useful on the machine. Here is another problem that I am facing. I want to install Visual Studio 2005 on my laptop that has Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit OS installed. When I tried to install the studio, after installing the 64 bit prerequisites from the Team Suite DVD, it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
