Hi All,
I'm trying to track down a mysterious problem we're experiencing in
which updates and inserts to tables in our mssql2k server appear to be
'disappearing.'
To explain our situation:
We have a web page (written in ASP, if that's relevant) on which we
accept enrollment information.

I have a web page I need to post a file plus some other fields to it. How
can I do this from a asp.net page. I know I can send individual fields to the
other page, but how do I send a file to the other page, or is there something
else like a stream which will be like a file. I am attempting to get a way
from writing out a file and then having to give the page that I am posting to
the file name. Instead I would like to just from asp.net...

Hi,
I have a 3 tier ASP.Net app for a handheld which needs to fetch
orders from database via a DAL and populate it in a gridview using
objectdatasource. In the search page I have a few parameters and when
the search button is clicked I am sending those parameters via query
string ( I need to do this since my app will run in a handheld which
has certain restrictions). In the order list page, I am passing those
parameters to the DAL as...

Here's one that should probably have the sub-heading "I'm sure I asked this
once before, but ...".
Two users are both looking at the same data, from a database. One user
changes the data and commits it. How does the other user get the updated
view without polling for changes? Is there some sort of callback mechanism
that can be set up on the dataset or connection?
TIA

I currently have a script together that will display one record per
page and allow the user to manually click through pages to view the
next record. How can I translate this to printing the data? I want
to be able to print the data one page at a time, but only send one
print job to do this?
I have never done this before, but would imagine it is possible.

Hello,
In stored procedure, i am using query that fetches 2 columns record but single row. i have used cursor to fetch single record.
is there any way to fetch the record and put it in variable declared without using cursor , or any syntax .
As cursor is better to fetch multiple records, but here record fetched is single row record, but the problem i am facing is how to put this value in variable. if there was a single column then it is...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
