How does MicroSoft store the stored procedures in seperate files.
What tools are used.
Cause that's what I like to do too.
Arno de Jong,
The Netherlands.
(SCPTFXR does not have the option to store the stored procedures in
different files
I think)

I have a database named credifree. I did it with mysql's create
command. Yet, I can find no files on my linux box except for a\
directory and a gif file that have the name credifree. Why? What's
the name mysql might have made a database file under? Where is
it stored? Just curious.

I need to import data from 720 csv files into an Access database so I can do
some editing prior to loading into a SQL Server. These files came from data
output from a mainframe on a monthly basis. There are 15 files created each
month with each file containing specific data.
What I started to do is store the files by year and then by month so I new
when the data is based on. I have linked the table to the database and them
append the...

Hi Folks,
I have an Access 2k app that is often run on a LAN with several users.
Unfortunately there is one feature that fails to work in that setup.
Our app allows the user to play WAV audio files through their sound
card that is connected to their phone through a proprietary piece of
hardware. This feature works fine on the machine that hosts the back
end data base. It does NOT work for a client PC because, for whatever
reason,...

Background:
- I'm running MSDE 2000 (not client tools, stored procedure capability,
etc). This may change, but not in the first part of development.
- My Access file is an Access 2002 project (.adp project client
connecting directly to MSDE SQL database - no .mdb involved or local
file tables beyond the .dbfs to be imported).
- Using ODBC to connect to .dbf data sources without a problem (ODBC is

User wants to go this route instead of storing pointers in the DB and the
documents outside.
Only time I tried it was with only MS Word docs - and that was a loooong time
ago - and it seemed to me like there were performance issues at the time.
How about the different types? The MS docs I would expect Access to
differentiate and handle appropriately (i.e. .DOC and .XLS).. but how about
..PDF? and can I stash a .TXT document in the...

I’m not used to working in VB and I think this situation calls for excactly that. I use Access 97 SR-2.

I’ve made a form in which I am to choose an existing Ticket and write a description for it pluss other things. The description to these Tickets are stored in another table called ”LogBook”. I then made a query on all of...

Hi all,
I posted this question in the sqlserver.newusers group but I am not getting
any response there so I am going to try it on the fine folks here:).
I inherited some legacy ASP codes in my office. The original code's backend
is using the SQL Server 2000 and I am testing to use it on the Express
edition.
And I run into the following problem.

I have a table with pdf files stored in an attachment data type field
in a 2007 Access File. I would like to run a query that would select
a group out of this table (easy part) then send the pdf file stored in
the attachment field in each of the selected records to a specific e-
mail address as an attachment to the e-mail. The pdf files can be
zipped together or left separately.
First off, Is this possible? I haven't found a lot of...

Hi. I'm using SQL Server 2005. I'd like to know if anyone has any
reference on how to allow users to upload a file **onto a database**.
In other words, a user can have several related files belonging to
him. Also, I would need a syntax that allowed me to retrieve those
files.
I'm sure this is possible. Aside from that information, can anyone
suggest whether this is the proper method? I know I can simply store
the paths, but...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
