I don't know of any open-source PHP software specifically for online
classifieds (if you mean like craigslist.org) , however if you're not
trying to compete with bigger online classifieds like the one I just
mentioned, you could probably get away with using discussion board
software for that and disallowing replies. It has many of the same
features of online classifieds, and you can give them categories and
forums (sub-categories) to post in. They come with a search feature
that lets you search in a specific area and some useful flood-
prevention stuff.

Here's a popular one with which you can disable replies, and you can
choose to either force people to register to post or let guests post:
http://www.phpbb.com/

phpBB is not spam-proof, however you can slow automated registrations
by turning on the confirmation code test and slow it down even more
with email verification. There is no perfect way to prevent _all_ spam
registrations, but there is a "mod" (look on the website) through
which I've never seen spam posts on discussion boards I've set up.
That mod only prevents spam posts, though, not spam registrations.
Perhaps there is a registration spam-proofing mod now, too.

Hi All, We've been using Noah's Classifieds system without any problem until we upgraded to PHP5. Now, the system doesn't work anymore. Unfortunately, the company that made this system doesn't support it anymore. So we are looking for a third party who could edit the code to make it compatible with PHP5.

Hello, I was trying to run "BETA: Classifieds Site Starter Kit" given in http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vwd/starterkit/ I got this error: “An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.” What should I do to get this run against SQL Server 2005?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
