I want to learn PHP.. I know JSP, Servlets, have been using Tomcat for
2 years now, and even though I know there are ways you can use PHP in
conjunction with Tomcat, I'd rather not tinker with Tomcat..
I think I'd rather try to do it straight 'from scratch'... following
instructions here, http://us2.php.net/tut.php.. so you need both...

completely messed my existing MySQL installation.. I've had it installed
for over a year now (4.1) have never had any problems with it whatsoever
(I connect to it from Tomcat and from stand-alone Java classes), now
since I installed XAMPP I cannot connect to it at all, cannot...

Hik,
I'm ready to buy a new desktop PC with Windows Vista, but need to be
sure XAMPP will run on it OK. I'd much prefer to install using the
XAMPP Windows install routine, rather than manually.
Has anyone tried installing XAMPP under Windows Vista yet? What's been
your experience?
Thanks and regards,
Paul Pinella

Hello,
Recently, my PHP (5, as installed by the XAMPP package) stopped
working, and won't let me run locally-served PHP files in my web
browsers.
I think (but I'm not sure) that the Apache web server is running
properly, but whenever I try to open a PHP file (for instance, by
opening http://localhost, which should take me to the XAMPP...

Hi,
I've started getting this error in the contact page form of my website. The web hosting company did an upgrade and it seems to coincide with that.
The Notice is at the top of the page, but the rest of the page displays normally and form...

I was building an application on this server, but I`ve noticed strange
behaviour. I think that it is something like file or application size limit
or something like that, because when I add some variable which is not

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
