Hi,
Has anybody had success getting the oggvorbis module from PECL to work? I
installed the latest versions of libogg and libvorbis from xiph.org (with
the default configure options) and then did "pear install oggvorbis".
phpinfo reports "Ogg Vorbis Wrapper: enabled", but whenever I try to open
an ogg stream in PHP (with eg....

On Linux, I need to ask what your favorite installation options are for
a PHP app as a kind of poll. In this first part, I discuss the Install
Wizard choices. In Part 2, I discuss the database configuration
choices.
Consider SugarCRM. It's really an SDK that you customize. Knowing that,
you might want to download about 4 to 30 different...

In making a release of the recent changes to pdb.py announce here:

I tried using setup.py.
I think it's great that setup.py tries to obviate the need for "Make"
by just doing everything. (In contrast to Perl's MakeMaker)....

PHP documentation reports that the YP/NIS module is not bundled with
PHP after 5.0.4 and is moved to the PECL repository.
I am not able to locate it.
Thes yp_* functions are an integral part of my project and am forced to

Two questions:
1. Is there a way I can find a list of all available php libraries and
with which version they can run..?
2. Using php code, is they a way I can find out if I have loaded a
specific PECL extension..? (like extension_loaded() for php libraries).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
We are currently installing a DB2 V9 ESE on a Linux server
(RHEL4U4-x86_64). Installation runs successfully on each node. Database
user environment is OK and the instance is well created. To be sure,
we've started the database with db2start =successfull. And then shut
it down again successfully too.
The tricks appears when we switch...

Where is the best news group to discuss autoconf
I have to tip my hat to the GNU developers becaause autoconf seems like an
animal, impossible to learn.
Between M4, C Marcos, GDB, C++, C- and GTK/Gnome, its a huge mindshare to
work with, and then throw in VIM macros and/EMACS, you need to be a
guinius to make any contribtuions today to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.

I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
