Php MySql dynamic table populate

1 New Member
Greetings, I'm a Php newbie and am developing a photo album site and have the basic framework in place with user registration, login, and then a page that you can upload images to MySql and those images are displayed below. What I am trying to do is create a system whereby when a user logs in they are sent to a page that shows a table with THEIR images that they have uploaded.. kinda creating the users very own page. I'm sure this is possible but am stumped. Please help if you can : )

its only a photo site? so nothing else? you might want to upload the images and save the url to the image in the mysql db.. ive got a script for this,..

Hope to hear from you

BeRtjh: a url makes no sense because all images are stored in the MySQL database (if I read the problem description correctly).

When 1 image is strictly tagged to 1 user, you can do the following. At the time the user uploads the image, I may assume he can do that after having been validated via a login. So you have the user's name available at upload time. You can then store the username in the same table same row as the image.

At display time you then select all images belonging to that (also validated logged-in) username using the following statement (var $username holds the validated user's name):
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. SELECT image_name FROM image_table WHERE userid='$userid';

I am a real novice to php and MySQL, with about a week's worth of reading and self tutoring. I have an urgent need to publish a database of information and need some guidance on how to do this. This question might be more suited to a MySQL newsgroup, but since php and MySQL seem to have become almost married to one another, and since getting the data out and displaying it is where my problem seems to lie, I thought I would start with...

I am sure this has been answered in over whelming detail in this group, however the search results have not turned up any thing I am interested in. I want a simple form generator in PHP that accesses a Mysql database. The program should (ideally in my opin): Generate a form when given a database name and table. Options for display only, insert new record, and edit.

I am trying to use some dynamic controls that are built and then added to tables. The problem that I am having is the timing of when I can populate the controls and have the state remain after a postback. The main question would be this: Why does this work for maintaining state after a postback for dynamic controls: myText = new Label(); myText.ID = "myText";

Hi all, Here's a problem I'm having with a dynamic table. Following the guidelines here (http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/dynamiccontrols.asp), which make perfect sense. The problem is that the table contains a SELECT box populated on the initial load. Every time I postback I'm inserting a column into the table, the dropdown always remains in the last column. First time I postback the dropdown is populated okay. The second time...

Hi, is it possible that due to OS crash or mysql itself crash or some e.g. SCSI failure to lose all the data stored in the table (let's say million of 1KB rows). In other words what is the worst case scenario for MyISAM backend? Also is it possible to not to lose data but get them corrupted?

Hi Guys, Last year I got a chance to work with R&D team, which was working on DB scripts conversion.. Though there is migration tool available, it converts only tables and constraints.. Rest of things (stored procedures, functions).. we have to manually edit. That time, we face some interesting challenges.. I failed to document all of them, but whatever I can share with u.. I will try.. :) ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
