xampp for solaris x86, need zipped file

Hi,
Hoping some one can help here, trying to get xampp....0.8.1. sh for
solaris 9 x86.
I only have access to the web via a windows box to download the .sh
file. Windows corrupts the file so can not get it to the unix box tied
up behind a firewall.

Can anyone do a gzipped version of the xampp file for me?
Regards
and hopeful

Ensure you're using binary mode to transfer the file. Windows should
not change the file then.

And if it's still corrupt, then maybe the upload is bad.

I'm trying to install MySQLdb 0.9.2 so I can access my MySQL database from python under Solaris 8. I found the notes on changing the include and lib paths and it seems to find them okay, but when I run 'python setup.py build', I get these errors: .... building '_mysql' extension creating build/temp.solaris-2.8-sun4u-2.3 gcc -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -g -O3 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -fPIC -I/ usr/include/mysql...

pardon my ignorance as I am a self-taught hobbyist programmer. I am curious after reading up on SharpZipLib. Can I embed a zipped txt file in my program? Then either read from within the zip file or unzip and read it? I currently have an embedded text file that contains a list that is read into an array. I'm always looking to save space. And I could reduce my file size 75% if it was zipped! I have looked at the SharpZipLib web site,...

So, I download the latest "stable" tar for perl (5.8.7) and try to compile it on the Solaris 8 (SPARC) box that I administrate. I try all sorts of different switches, but I can't get it to compile. I need it to be compiled with threads. Anyone have any wisdom on how best to do this? Here's a transcript of my latest attempt. It's long; you might want to skip to the bottom, where I try "make" and the fatal errors start happening.

I want to learn PHP.. I know JSP, Servlets, have been using Tomcat for 2 years now, and even though I know there are ways you can use PHP in conjunction with Tomcat, I'd rather not tinker with Tomcat.. a few days ago I installed XAMPP in my Windows 2000 machine, it completely messed my existing MySQL installation.. I've had it installed for over a year now (4.1) have never had any problems with it whatsoever (I connect to it from Tomcat and from stand-alone Java classes), now since I installed XAMPP I cannot connect to it at all, cannot start service... I uninstalled XAMPP completely, and my MySQL server still doesn't work.. so why...

Hello, Recently, my PHP (5, as installed by the XAMPP package) stopped working, and won't let me run locally-served PHP files in my web browsers. I think (but I'm not sure) that the Apache web server is running properly, but whenever I try to open a PHP file (for instance, by opening http://localhost, which should take me to the XAMPP start/ admin page, index.php), my browsers are unable to run it, and only

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
