I need to save a file in UTF-8 format from an ASP file.
Using FileSystemObject I can only save them in Unicode (UTF-16, I think) but
not in UTF-8:
Set zzzz = fso.OpenTextFile(filepath, 2, true, -1)
How do I can save my file in UTF-8 format ?
I have tried to convert the file to UTF-8, with this code:

Hello, I had what I thought was normal text-file and I needed to locate a
string matching a certain pattern in that file and, if found, replace that
string. I thought this would be simple but I had problems getting my
algorithm to work and in order to help me find the solution I decided to
print each line to screen as I read them.
Then, to my surprise, I noticed that there was a space between every
character as I outputted the lines to the...

Hi,
I am computing an XML file with all necessary tags, to be used in
dedicated XML software. I am computing it as a text file but don't know
how to do to save it to the disk UTF-encoded. strConv() with constant =
64 does not work, because the default code page of the system is UTF-16
and the XML editor I am using, XMLSpy, expects structured text when
importing text files (so it cannot import my tagged files).
The only way I have...

I'm trying to upgrade some old code that used old iostreams.
At one place in the code, I have a path/filename in a wchar_t string
(unicode utf-16).
I need to open an ifstream to that file. But the open() on ifstream only
takes char * strings (mbcs?).
In old iostreams, I could _wopen() the file, get the filedesc, and call
attach() on the ifstream.

It says error:

I'm creating a page that:
- accepts user input in whatever language
- saves that input to a file
- reads the file and displays the original input
The following code successfully writes the user input to a file (when I
open the file, it's in the correct font), but I can't get PHP to read
the file and display the correct characters.

on one of my sites I want to give the user the possibility to upload a
html file where I want to extract all that is within the <body>-tags.
The upload works fine:
<form id="uploadform" action="index.php" method="post"
enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="Datei" size="30"/>
<input type="submit"/>
</form>

This is what I've currently got:
size_t arraySize;
setlocale(LC_CTYPE,"C-UTF-8");
arraySize = wcstombs(NULL, wstr, 0);
char utf8string;
wcstombs(utf8string, Name, arraySize + 1);

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
