Best PHP or C libraries for handling images, video, and music: watermarking, thumbnailing, truncating, fading, etc.

Hello there,

What are the best php/c libraries for handling media including images,
video, and music?

I would like to manipulate media dfiles, including watermarking,
thumbnailing, truncating, etc.

I know there's the GD llibrary for images.

Is there anything comparable for video and music, as far as
watermarking, truncating, and thumbnailing go?

PHP or c libraries would be great.

Any resources/websites/links would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

ImageMagick is great for images. Much better results and far more options
than with the GD library. http://www.imagemagick.org. It also supports
some video file formats (AVI, MPEG), but I have no idea what you can do with
video files... never tried.

On comp.lang.c we don't know or care. This is system specific and since
we only deal with the C language, not the specifics of the thousands (at
least) of different C implementations the only library we deal with is
that defined by the C standard.

For C, go for SDL. It`s easy to pick up and is fun, too. Great for
games, applications and anything that involves media.

I'm fairly unfamiliar with CSS, but want to develop a way to skin a web application by using stylesheets for everything, including all images. I have a set of images used as buttons - mostly for simple links rather than form input buttons. <a href="mypage.php?action=add&id=7"><img src="..." border="0"></a> <a href="mypage.php?action=delete&id=7"><img src="..." border="0"></a>

I am creating a database that will have a large number of images in it and I would like some input as to the best way to handle them. Each record in my database will have a one-to-many relationship with a Pictures table, i.e. there will be several pictures for each record in my main table. There are several things that I would like to be able to do with this setup, and this is what I am thinking:

I am a little bit confused by all possibilities for exceptions handling in Python (probably because I am not skilled enough??) Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
