Hi everybody,
I'm using phpMyAdmin 2.2.6 with EasyPHP v.1.6.0.0
I wrote a php script which uses a username (added in the mysql base with
phpMyAdmin).
This user has no privileges.
But in the script, I have the following request for the same username :
INSERT TO table (...) VALUES (....)
And it's working !!! The user can insert new rows with the php script to
the database and
he has no privileges. How it can be possible ?

I feel like I'm so close, but I still can't get phpMyAdmin working.
I am running RedHat 9, Apache 2.0, and mySQL. My SQL seems to run OK.
I can create tables and insert rows, etc. from the command line on the
server.
I want to access phpMyAdmin from a WinXP box, and I just can't get it
going, yet I can run simple phpScripts from the browser on the WinXP
machine.

This is a really, really elementary (almost dumb) question. I have a php
script I picked up elsewhere that I want to use to query my MySQL DB. I
have phpMyAdmin. I'd like to somehow run this script via phpMyAdmin so I
can bookmark this for future reference.
How do I do it?
The phpMyadmin interface doesn't like the variable declarations like
$query1="SELECT blah, blah"; when I do it manually.

Hi,
I'm trying to insert 5112 lines of data into a table named INVENTORY
via phpmyadmin. All the data types are CHAR and have a limit of 50
(there are 8 columns). I tried inserting the data by commands;
basically copying and pasting
INSERT INTO INVENTORY VALUES
('AHS','312','cpu','dell','3248','HN97P01','','');

Hello,
I am having a problem with a query in phpMyAdmin... it works fine on my
localhost, but the exact same query produces an error in phpMyAdmin on
my server:

Hello,
I am trying to install phpMyAdmin 2.8.2 and have a question about
config.inc.php. Is it necessary to include all of the $cfg fields in
config.default.php, or is it ok to just have whichever fields I
explicitly need customized, such as $cfg? I
am not clear on whether there are any security risks by not explicitly
stating every field in config.default.php in my actual config.inc.php
and whether or not the program will know to...

I find myself in a circular reference loop that I can't seem to resolve. I recently upgraded from MySQL 4.0.x to MySQL 4.1.21 on OS 10.3.9 Server. Then, I *thought* I set my open master root password correctly using usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqladmin -u root password new_password and /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h `hostname` password "newpasswd" . After setting my master root password I then connected via phpMyAdmin 2.5.4 as...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
