Hi,
I am extremely stuck trying to port a PHP app from one server to
another while making use of the PEAR Mail_mimeDecode package. We have
just upgraded from RedHat 7.x to RedHat Enterprise Linux ES Basic v3
because of the end-of-life statement from RedHat. Basically, this
means a change from Apache 1.3 to 2 and PHP 4.1.2 to 4.3.2.

Greetings:
Crack open the beer, PEAR DB 1.6.0 is here! (Hey, I'm a bit giddy
with excitement that my intense work during the past seven weeks
has come to fruition.)
For those unfamiliar with PEAR DB, it's a package of PHP classes
that provide an object oriented API with common methods of accessing
thirteen of PHP's database driver...

When I installed Mandrake 10.0 I thought I had Apache, PHP, and MySQL
installed correctly. I could serve web pages, MySQL worked, and when I
tried the phpinfo() function, I got a page that looked OK. I could
create simple php pages and serve them up. Then I tried to install
pear, and things started to be not OK after all.
phpinfo() told me...

work:
require_once "HTML/Table.php";
Warning: main(HTML/Table.php) : failed to open stream: No

If your site is on a shared host and you don't have shell access so you
have to just kind of use whatever they got, you can't install PEAR
modules, right? This is one thing that confuses me about PEAR. Is part
of PEAR build into PHP, so you can assume it will be available? or if
you want to use ANY of it, you have to install it by issuing UNIX...

I downloaded a PEAR module, but it came with this XML file and a PHP file. I
figure I just include the PHP file somehow, but what do I do with the XML
file?

I installed PHP with PEAR support on my Windows computer. I tried the
snippet of the book "Learning PHP5":
<?php
error_reporting(E_ERROR | E_WARNING | E_PARSE);
echo "test";
include 'DB.php';
$db = DB::connect('mysql://penguin:top^hat@db.example.com/restaurant');
if (DB::isError($db)) { die("Can't connect: " . $db->getMessage( )); }
?>

Hey everyone,
I am stumped once more and you guys have always helped in one way or the other.
I am just now starting to fool around with using PEAR to send html emails. Following the sample scripts -- http://www.phpmaniac.net/wiki/index.php/Pear_Mail#Sending_to_multiple_recipients -- I was able to send html emails with no problem.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
