I once knew how to do it, but I cannot find or remember it anymore:
How can I attach *class* methods to a type in C code, when I have a
function
PyObject *func(PyObject *type, PyObject *arg);
with the METH_O calling convention? The type is already created, I
cannot insert it into the tp_methods array anymore.

Hi,
I've developed the Metaclass below, because I needed a way
to make a bunch of classes thread-safe.
I didn't want to change every method of the class by adding
lock.aqcuire()..lock.release() around the existing code.
So I made a metaclass that essentially replaces every method
of a class with a 'wrapper' method, that does the locking,
invocation, unlocking.
Is this the right approach? It seems to work fine. But I have

I want to subclass an IMAP connection so that most of the
methods raise an exception if the returned status isn't 'OK'.
This works, but there's got to be a way to do it that doesn't
involve so much duplication:
class MyImap4_ssl(imaplib.IMAP4_SSL):
def login(*args):

I'm not sure if I've broken any Object Oriented rules or not, but ...
I have projects in 2 different solutions that need to use each other's
methods. Therefore I may have an "update" method in project 1-solution A
accessing a "save" method in project 2-solution B as well as "getinfo"
method in project 2 accessing a "read" method in project A.
Is this permitted? I am getting the "dependency file in project cannot be
copied... conflict...

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
