Hello,
I have 3 users in my MySQL server. One of them has Grant access
(actually: all privileges). I cannot login as this user using
phpMyAdmin - my password is not accepted (though I' m sure it must be
the right one).
I CAN login as any of the other users. When I do this and choose
'privileges' I get the overview:
User - Host - Password - Global Privileges - Grant - Action
I can see the user with all privileges, but the cell under 'Host' is
empty. Does this mean this user cannot login from any host?
Since I am now logged in as a limited user, having no Grant
privileges, I can't change this...
As far as I understand, I have locked myself out of the server and
don't know how to get in...
Is there any way I can get back in?
Thanks,
Marc 3 2710

Log in as the root user and alter the passwords?

Hi,
I can log in as root but then I don't have the 'Privileges' link I
would have when log in as one of the other users. It says 'No
Privileges'.

I am doing something wrong or have something set up wrong.
When I issue
mysql> grant all on * to mike identified by 'joented' with grant
option;
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.69 sec)
It looks like the grant worked. Here is what the mysql.user table looks
like.

I have recently set up mySQL on a Mandrake release of Linux (Version 7 of
Mandrake, I believe), using the binary 4.0.13 standard release.
The set up and start up all were normal, as far as I could tell, with no
warnings or error messages.
In nearly all respects, the database appears to be running as expected. I
have the book "PHP and mySQL Web Development" by Luke Welling and Laura

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
