I suddenly have problems when i want to insert pictures (bmp) in my access
database.
When i insert the 'object', i only see the icon with pic.bmp under it. In
the properties menu
the 'show icon' option is not on so that's not the problem.
My old databases still show the pictures in their normal shape.
Any ideas?

I have a textfield in my database which stores the location of an
image. Each time a record is selected, the right image is loaded based
on the path stord in the textfield.
Now I want to print a report with these pictures. Is this possible??

I'm working on a report that shows a lot of data, so I've set it up so
it is 2-pages wide in landscape view for each record. ie: The report
is 22" wide (less margins). On the left page there are three images,
and there are two images on the right page. The images are stored in
a directory, and only path\filename info is stored in the database.
For testing purposes, there are only four records, so there isn't a
memory issue.
I'm...

Hello!
I have a database with alot of embedded images. The reason for having
the images embedded is security.
My problem is that it works fine on my computer, but not on my clients
computer. He hasn't got Microsoft Photo Editor installed and because
of that he cant view the images when doubleclicking on them in the
table. He can still see the pictures in the formview but when he
doubelclicks the images a error message shows up.

Hi,
All the records in my database will contain at least one picture. At
the moment all the images are part of the database as ole objects
although the database is way to big and there is only 12 records in it.
I have been reading about linking images into the database and i would
like to use the method linking via code this way the database will be
as small as possible.

Hey,
In my database i have images, linked to the database, corresponding to
different records. I am having trouble making them show in the report.
At the moment i can only get the one picture to show everytime.
There is a catch to the situation; the report is constructed in such a
way in that it doesn't have anything in the record source field.
I would greatly appreciate some help.

Hello,
I have an MDE application where I use a bound object frame to display an
image. This frame is updatable and bested on the contents of an OLE field.
My problem is, some images display as the image and some display as an icon
with the file name below. The process I'm following is as follows;
Right click
Choose "Insert Object..."
Select "Create from File"

Hi, I can convert my report to Adobe PDF, but the photos are very
poor. They were taken as RAW images and I've tried saving them at
different resolutions as JPEGs, but it doesn't seem to make much
difference in the PDF output. I have about 500 images in the 200ish
page report (unless I split it into several smaller ones).
Each photo should be about 6-8cm on the longest side. Any
recommendations on what res to use would be most...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
