I'm having a little weird condition.
I have a simple form (POST method), whose Action is a validation
script, most of the times it works. But sometimes, the validation
script does not "receive" the variables from the form script.
The code is very simple, so I think I should review some of the
parameters of the PHP version (4.3.4) installed in the server where my
site is hosted, but I'm not sure which of them I should check.
Does somebody...

I am having a very strange issue with my asp.net application. I have
created a datagrid which dynamically gets populated from a person
choosing a value from a dropdown list and entering a quantity into a
text box (a simple version of a shopping cart). When I run/debug the
web page using the localhost in the page URL
(http://localhost/mypage.aspx), the datagrid updates properly when a
command button is clicked and all is well. However,...

Hi everyone
I am having the following very bizzare and annoying problem:
I have a page that contains amongst other things, a check box that is set
according to a session variable.
When the page loads, the check box is set according to the session variable.
Now here's the weird bit. If I change the checkbox and press the button that

Hello,
I have a page that is supposed to do some checking, and if OK, set a

is a simplified version, I have hard-coded the basket ID and removed a

Hello,
I have a weirdest issue I've ever had.
I have a function that enters some data into the Oracle table and
returns the sequential row number for the new record (autonumber):
Private Function AddSystem(ByVal txt As TextBox, ByVal cn As
OracleConnection) As Integer

Hi Experts,
I've just joined this group and want to know something:
Is there something similar to smart pointers in C or something to
prevent memory leakages in C programs.
Regards

I wrote a DHM key exchange program that has something funky going on:
the number that you have to send to your friend is completely wrong,
but the session key it generates is correct. Wha?
Code:
DHMAlg.hpp
------------------------
#pragma once
const long long& DHMAlg(long long& base, long long& mod, long long&

Hi All,
I am recently experiencing a weird problem.
I don't know what exactly is the cause of the problem but here is my
scenario and symptoms.
First of all here is my architecture
1. I have a main framework (DNN) build in VB.NET which I try to prevent
changing things there (simply not changing it)
2. I have a virtual directory under this which I develop in C#.

Hi all,
I am stuck with a very strange session prob. Developing on locahost.
Have just gone back to a project I was working on to check all is ok
and the login function is no longer working properly, basically the
session variables arent being carried over pages, except, and this is
strange, in safari. When i echo the session variables on other pages
they show in safari, but not in firefox, ie, or opera. So login works
in one browser...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
