Tattoo simulation using PHP

Hello,

I would like to create an application where the user enters some text
and the text is displayed on a photo of person as a tattoo.

I have already used the "text on image" capability of GD but it doesn't
look real enough.

Does anyone here knows about an exitising applications like the one I
need or can recommend a (free) graphic package that has graphic
manipulations that is needed to create such an effect?

Thanks,

Hanan Cohen

The reason it doesn't look realistic is because you are projecting a
flat tattoo image onto a curved bodypart. Depending on where the tattoo
is intended to go (please, don't tell me, it would only upset me) you
should alter the tattoo image after the basic text has been created.
Doing it rather simplistically, a cylindrical projection would make it
look as if it had been wrapped around - say - a forearm; a spherical
projection would look OK on top of a shoulder, and so on. The
transformations can be found in any online tutorial on 3D graphics
manipulation.

Thanks for your reply.

I am looking for PHP graphic components that can do the 3D manipulation
and image blending that's needed for the text to look real. It should
be done online.

Thanks,

are there any php based economic simulations out there - not trading games per se, but more like simulating an economy, be it running a business or running a government? All i've been able to find are online space trading or role-playing style games, rather than any kind of "tycoon" or "civilisation" style games written in PHP.

Hello, I'm looking for any work/paper/ressource about continuous system simulation using Python or any similar object oriented languages (or even UML theory !). I'm aware of SimPy for discrete event simulation, but I haven't found any work about continuous system. I would like to develop a generic continous system simulator, and so would be eager to join any open source effort on the subject.

I have some c code that writes results directly to a file as they're produced during a simulation. I want to modify the code to write directly to a postgres database using libpq. I think I could open a connection and insert into the database with a transaction, commiting at the end of the simulation. One problem with this approach is that if I have a lot of simultaneous simulations running I may run into problems with exceeding the maximum...

I was asked this summer to write a monte carlo code to simulation magnetic nanoparticles. For the nonphysicists, basicly it is a simulation where most of the time is taken up by looping through each pair in an array of 500 or so particles, in order to calculate interaction potential. I wrote what i have so far in csharp because i wanted to learn it and though it would give me some good experience. I am now beginning to understand that .net...

Hello all, I am trying to generate random seeds for my simulations. currently i was using srand(time(NULL); for this purpose. But for confidence in my results i ran it using a script in a loop. Since the time b/w execution is very similar, many simulation runs resulted in exact same results. Is there a better way of seeding the random number generator in c/c++

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
