Multimedia presentation of web programming

Hello!

I am teaching Web programming to students many of which are not very
techinically interested (but this is still a part of their curriculum)

I am looking for some multimedia based presentation that can help me
convey some ideas / topics.

One example of such a topic would be the role of the web-server in
presenting server based dynamic web pages. This may seem quite abstract
to some, and somebody out there must have had the need (and the
resources) to produce an animation / web based film or some other
facility to explain it. (e.g. some bubbles moving from the browser over
the network, entering the server...). Again - only an exadmple.

I would be greatful to any pointers.

Thanks

Michael

This is crossposted to comp.lang.python & comp.multimedia; if there is a better place to go please tell me :) I've been asked to build a quick-and-dirty prototype of a simple computer-based training application. You know, those multimedia thingies with text, some videos, a bit of speech and quizzes at the end of the unit... I've been proposed to build a new reusable architecture using Macromedia Director: the reason being, Macromedia...

Hi there, we have started with some people from our LUG (Linux User Group) a 'little' project, called LMMS (Linux Multimedia System). When it's 'finished' it shall be a window-manager for use on TV and handle with joysticks/gamepads. As the name says, it is for multimedia-applications, like listening to music, watching videos and maybe playing some games. The idea is to create a gui for application like mplayer, ogg123, mpg123,...

I apologize if my question is too basic. I did a lot of programming in VB4, and then ignored VB until VB .NET arrived, and now I'm trying to get up to speed, but finding it a lot harder than with VB4. The online docs say that to play a wav file with a Windows Multimedia Player, you can set the filename property. I can't find this property, nor can I find examples of how to do this in the code. There seems to be a huge amount of...

I admit I am more familiar with Delphi programming including the latest Delphi8 for NET but I thought I would try my luck in VB .NET Beeing a non-professional self taught programmer I mostly write multimedia tutorial type code for medical profesionals. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
