After I load an XML file, can I sort it by node attribute

Hi,

After loading an xml file, is it possible to sort it by attribute?

For example, I have the following xml file:
<xml...
<diary>

I went to the park

Sold the car today

Went for a stroll

</diary>
When I go to load this using PHP, I would use some this similar to
this:
$xmldoc = domxml_open_fil e('diary.xml', DOMXML_LOAD_DON T_KEEP_BLANKS);

$node = $xmldoc->document_eleme nt();
Before I go storming through the xml tree outputing along the way, can
I sort it by (in this case) date?

Cheers

Burnsy

Why don't you perform a XSLT with <xsl:for-each order-by> ?

Another option could be to use parse_into_stru ct and then use of the
array_sort methods?

I need to load the document into and XmlDocument object and am using the XmlDocument.Load(string filename) method. I get an error that says the document contains invalid characters. When I try to load my xslt i get an xml exception with the message "Root element is missing". The stylesheet works when I preview it in stylus studio, but apparently not in my application. Any ideas what may be wrong? The stylesheet: <xsl:transform version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" > <xsl:output indent="yes"/>

In my Win app, I'm needing to load a media file into my Windows Media Player control, and THEN read an attribute from the file. The thing is, the file has to be playing for a split second before the attribute can be read. I can have wmpPlayer.URL = @"D:\Web\FWT\TestFile.wma"; in my form load event and then a button on the form to get the value I need... label1.Text = wmpPlayer.currentMedia.getItemInfo("Abstract");

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
