phpinfo() - Configuration File (php.ini) Path

Win
Not really an important question, but does anyone happen to know how to
modify the path displayed in the [Configuration File (php.ini) Path]
section from phpinfo()?

I was referred to the following URL, but that doesn't seem to do it:
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/configuration.php

What did you do? What OS are you running? What webserver? are you running
PHP as a module or as CGI?

IIRC if you want to change the default path you need to build the binaries -
specify --with-config-file-path=... when you run configure.

Set the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACH INE\SOFTWARE\PH P\IniFilePath

Thanks for the input Philip, but that key does not exist. Any other
ideas?

Set the system PHPRC environment variable on your system.

Jul 17 '05 #6
Btw, you can create the key. I don't know much about Windows or its
registry but you can create registry keys...

I wanted to use the AddType directive in an .htaccess file. So I used phpinfo() to get the path info for PHP. I found this line: PATH /bin:/usr/bin So I tried this, but it did not work: AddType application/x-php .htm Action application/x-php /bin:/usr/bin/php

I just updated my server to apache 1.3.33 and php 5.0.3 from apache 1.3.31 and php 4.3.9. It's running RedHat and MySQL 4.0.20. All the code that I created myself in PHP is working as it should with no glitches. However, phpMyAdmin stopped working and most importantly, because I need to diagnose the problem, phpinfo() is not working either. I used the php.ini-recommended for the new configuration with minor

Hi I am running Php5.0 on Windows XP. When I run phpinfo script it tells me that the configuration file php.ini is located in C:\Windows. This seems odd as I have put the PATH to php as D:\php where the php.ini file is located. Does anyone know how I can fix it so that the php.ini file comes up as being in the D:\php folder not C:\Windows? I am asking this question as I would like to get php5 and Mysql working

When I run phpinfo, it diaplays the same thing regardless of changes I make to php.ini. For instance, php.ini shows register globals on max upload filesize of 16M. etc, etc. But phpinfo always shows register globals off and max file upload size of 2M. Any idea what is going on? thanks, brian

I'm wondering why, after fixing the path in php.ini and removing the ; from infront of the extension=php_mysql.dll the "Additional Modules" on the page returned by phpinfo() doesn't show anything. I can communicate with MySql via PHP okay, just wondering about the "Additional Modules" thing... Thanks, Gerard

I was trying to follow some instructions on installing Smarty and suddenly found php.ini is not where phpinfo lists it to be. 1. Is /usr/local/lib the default location for the php.ini 2. In old versions of PHP, did php.ini install by default and not have to be copied? The thing is I've installed PHP on my own home servers for years and never had the need to edit the php.ini file before (well I don't remember doing so). Anyhow...

Hello, this is my first post here. W00T. (Forgive me for using leet speak, it's not my fault.) Here's the rundown: I have MySQL. I have configured the PHP.INI to the correct settings, including allowing the extension, and changing the extensions directory to the correct path. I have configured Apache to gather information from the correct PHP.INI (C:/PHP/PHP.INI). I have the "libmysql.DLL" in both the System and System32 folders in the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
