Sessions Problem

I have a protected administrator page. I made it using sessions. I test it
using my PC and it works perfect. When I upload it to the server, it does not
work because it does not remember the seasons. I do not know how to fix it.
Does anybody know what's wrong with the server????? Do I have to change
something so that the server will be able to recognize the sessions that I
use in my script????

hi,

first thing to check is php.ini.

Could be many reasons why they do not work, eg:
You autostart session on your homemachine, but on the server not.

Compare the session section in both php.ini files.

Did you set the path for sessions, it has to be writeable also,
something like /tmp!

Look for this vars and values
session.save_ha ndler = files
session.save_pa th = /tmp

Hi, you all, I am a newbee for php and I need your help. One of my coworker and I are both developing a webpage for our project using php. We have a copy of the same files in different location on the server (in our own accounts on the same machine). When I am testing both versions of our program using the same browser (IE on Windows or Konqueror on Linux) the session variables will mix up and only the latest selection or options will...

Question for the group The authentication system for the site Im working on seems to function properly and all is good. A session keeps track of everything and a cookie is used to accept or deny access... sounds as it should be I hope. Then when all is done logging out destroys everything and the pages are no longer accessable. Good so far. But two things come to mind: one is preventing multiple logins of the user/password. The...

Hi group We have a problem with sessions in one of our sites. Sessions are used to store login info & some other infos (no objects are stored in sessions). We are using Windows 2000 Server (IIS 5.0) with ASP 3.0 (no .NET on this site). Sometime, data in session is emptied. I say "sometime"

Hi all, I seem to been having a problem with sessions. I have a session in the login page Session("UserLevel") = (MM_rsUser.Fields.Item("Accesslevel").Value) which doesn't seem to be visible through out the site. This is a repost (pasted below). Since my original post, I've double checked the system clock and set all IIS Session Timeout values to 10 minutes. Still ...the problem occurs. I've also installed Deep Metrix Live Stats 6.2 XPS just to make sure nothing really strange was going on was going on. Still....the sessions only increment...or should I say my counter in my asax file.... and never goes down. If it matters, this machine is...

Hi, I have a web application which sometimes throws an “out of memory” exception. To get an idea what happens I traced some values using performance monitor and got the following values (for one day): \\FFDS24\ASP.NET Applications(_LM_W3SVC_1_Root_ATV2004)\Errors During Execution: 7 \\FFDS24\ASP.NET Apps v1.1.4322(_LM_W3SVC_1_Root_ATV2004)\Compilations

I have a strange problem with sessions in PHP 5. I have a simple script that prints a random number both as a string and a picture on the screen. When I run the script for the first time, it works perfectly. However, when I refresh the page, new updated random number does not propagate to the image displayer script through sessions. The image displayer script continues showing the old number instead of the new random number. I checked the...

OK, I've been having this problem for quite some time but never until now I really needed a solution. I have never thought of a work around, so I really need your help. Sorry if this has been mentioned already. You can point me to the post and I'll gladly read. I googled this a lot but, first, most people have tutorials for sharing sessions in subdomains, and, second, I have no clue what keywords to use. I am currently developing two web...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
