Hi,
We have special kind of service that covers just north on America (US and
Canada), so we want to redirect users comming from another country to
another page.
I am looking for a web service or similar thing that tells me the country
and state/province of incomming IP address. I am sure it is possible but i
don't know who sells that service.

I'm restarting this thread with a different focus.
The project I'm working on now id coming along and will be made to work, and
it's too late to start over with a new strategy. Still, I'm not coming to a
firm conclusion over whether it was the better approach, and wonder if I
should do it differently the next time I'm faced with a similar issue.
I needed an app to automatically import from spreadsheets with a semi-dynamic
structure,...

All,
I'm reading a book by Charles Petzold (Programming VS.Net). Pretty good
content but am confused about the difference. From the text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The @ Import Directive
Next to @ Page, the directive that ASP.NET programmers use the most is @
Import. The @ Import directive is ASP.NET's...

hi, guys
I don't know where should I put this post, because this is a general
question, not really a c# question.
The question is how to caculate the real distance between two
geographical point? For example, i know two positions from my gps,
longitude and latitude. how to know to caculate how many miles between
these two points.
There are many websites doing this in search, enter the miles as
radius, and only show the results fall in...

Hi,
Does anyone know if DB2 has the capability to cluster in an
active/active mode over geographical distances.
I am aware of the replication tools and HADR capabilities but this is
more active/passive.
I know that the capability exists within the Oracle RAC product

Hello,
I've some geographical coordinates and I'd like to put them on a map.
Example: I've the map of the USA. Once I've selected Chicago, I'd like a
point-cross or what ever, on the Chicago point over the map.
How can this be done in PHP ?
I know you can do everything in GD, but does something similar already exist

Is there a URI scheme for (geographical) map or address location?
e.g. something like
postal-geographical:postal:123_Main_St,Anywhere_AW,USA
postal-geographical:geographical:lat:1234.567,long:987.654
defines an IANA-maintained registry of URI Schemes. These
registries include the Permanent and Provisional URI Schemes. The
registry is: http://www.iana.org/assignments/uri-schemes.html . I
find no such entry there.

Hey,
How does one going about their user's geographical location? Is that
even a PHP question.
For example, a site may say "Find others near Boston", but if you were
in New York, it would say "Find others in New York"
Thanks.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
