form posting

Hi, i have a form that points to a document on my local site, like:

<form action="test.ph p" method="post">
<input type=hidden name=value1 value="somethin g">
<input type=submit value=submit>
</form>

now, i would like to post the form data to the test.php file, from
another php file (let's say test2.php)! how to do that?

i cannot call http://localhost/test.php?value1=value1 because the method
is POST (it doesn't work)?

tnx,
Gregor

I am have been researching this issue to no end, so any help would be very much appreciated. I have a page with form tags. Inside of the form tags is a panel that contains a user control. The form tags are NOT inside of the user control. Inside that user control are a few panels that contains different steps of an application (for applying to something). When I go to step 1 and submit, the asp:validators catch the errors and the...

Hi, Can anyone tell me why in the code below, the call to ClearChildViewState() has no effect? To paraphrase the code: I'm using view state. I have a textbox and a submit button (and a label that can be ignored). When I press the button the first time, the click handler hides the textbox. Pressing the button a second time unhides the textbox. The text box is maintaining its value when hidden via view state. (The value is NOT being...

I am somewhat new to VS.net in general. As a result I am prone to make mistakes. When adding some new feature to a a form it would be nice if I could back it up before trying something that might mess things up. Also, there are times when a new form is enough like an old one that the best way to create the new report is to simply make a copy of the old one, rename the copy and add modifications. So the question is, how to backup or...

I have a master page which contains a general page framework and also contains a <form runat=server> around most of the content of the page. Inside that <form> tag is a ContentPlaceholder. I then create an ASPX which is tied to that MasterPage and in it a put a bunch of form fields and an <asp:Button />. When I try to run the page, I get... "Control 'ctl00_BodyCPH_ctl00' of type 'Button' must be placed inside a form tag with...

In ASPX 2.0 with MasterPages and all that, my entire page only has one actual <FORM>. But there are several different sections of the page that provide what are functionally separate forms with separate Submit buttons. In basic HTML, I can have multiple forms on a page and the browser knows that if any of the fields for Form A have the focus, then pressing ENTER will send a Click to the submit button for Form A. Same for Form B, etc. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
