Hi,
I am considering scripting a large C++ application.
In particular I am interested in test driving and end-user scripting
the "application layer" in Python and giving it access to a large
collection of C++ objects and their methods.
I note that SWIG is a mature tool and refers to supporting Python
v1.x.

Hello
I am from Germany and I study Information-Technology (2nd semester).
Every three month I have a internship at the DLR (German Aerospace
Center) and in the moment I try to use Python and especially SWIG. My
problem is to write the interface file. I have big problems to write
my own interface file. I know that I have to write the headers and the
functions in there, but I haven`t really found out how. (it´s a cpp
and a header file,...

I have been trying to get access to the details of a shell link (.LNK shortcut), but no matter what I do I never get the data I need. The basic thought behind the application is to drop a file or shortcut on a form. The form will at a later point execute the program or link. I need to access both the path and the link from the shortcut
I know that this should be possible using the IShellLink interface of the Shell32.dll using COM interop. The...

Hello,
I have a blog with all of the archives contained in a drop down menu. At the
end of the page, I have a "More Articles" link which I want to link to the
Archives Menu. I just want to hyperlink More Articles to the On-Page
Archives Menu.
The Archive Menu is script written by someone else and I can't see where to
put the ID so it associates with the menu. The script is shown below.

I'm looking for a pattern where different client implementations can use the
same commands of some fictive tool ("foo") by accessing some kind of API.
Actually I have the need for such pattern for my own tool
(http://openswarm.sourceforge.net). I already started restructuring my code
to separate the actual command implementations from the command-line scripts
(which is optparser-based now) and have some ideas how to proceed. But
probably...

I am looking for a web interface for shell commands or shell scripts.
Does anyone know of any exexisting php scripts which would solve this
requirement?
PHP form accepts input from a user, then passes these as arguments to
a configurable shell script or OS command. I would like for the
output generated from the shell script/command shall be displayed in a
new javascript window once the form is submitted. Optimally a user
should not...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
