What is the maximum size of an array? I tried to edit an extremely large
array for a magic square, for example, array, and when I ran the
program, it would not display the array. I changed the array to 105 by 105
and it worked fine. Does anybody know what the problem is and how I could
possibly get around it?

I've noticed a few threads (full of sound and fury, signifying
nothing) here recently about allocation of large memory blocks. I'm
about to start on a personal pet project where I'll be using memchr(),
memcmp(), memmove() a lot. Is there an ANSI C maximium size for
character arrays which are guaranteed to succeed, assuming the machine
has sufficient memory? And will the memxxx() functions work with that
size? I'm looking at hopefully...

I would like to have an array declaration where the size of the array
is dependent on a variable. Something like this:
/* Store the desired size of the array in a variable named
"array_size". */
unsigned short int array_size = 25;
/*Declare an array named "numbers" using the variable initialized
above. */
unsigned short int numbers;

Hi all,
I'm getting an OutOfMemoryException when I initialize a byte array in
C# like this:
Byte test = new Byte;
I'm using ASP.NET 2.0. In ASP.Net 1.1 it works fine. So what am I doing
wrong?

I'm trying to investigate the maximum size of different variable types.
I'm using INT as my starting variable for exploration. I know that the
maximum number that the int variable can take is: 65,535. But i'm
trying to write a program to test this, assuming I didn't know this
number in advance. I came up with the following but have two questions.
Maybe someone can help?
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Text;

I need to write a function in devc++ that creates an array of n integers, each element is equal to n*n+i*i-n*i where i is from 0 to n-1 as the array index. Within the same function I need to find the maximum value, minimum value and average of all elements. I'm stuck on the first one :/ I've practiced calling another function to find the maximum, and that seemed to work fine. I get a number in the millions when trying to do this all in one...

The maximum int for an array on my machine (a Pentium IV with 2 GB
RAM) is < 330 Million...before you get an "out of memory" exception.
I simply filled an array of this size with ints...I got as far as 320
M. So, myArray is a big as I can get.
In theory a 32 bit int is 2.1 billion, but in practice, you cannot
fill an array having anywhere near that number of elements. I suspect
that it's because every element of an array takes up space...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
