do u know why
print "\n a)", scalar split /:/, ':';
print "\n b)", scalar split /:/, ':f';
print "\n c)", scalar split /:/, ':f:';
writes:
a)0
b)2
c)2
and not
a)1
b)2
c)2
as i expected?
ok for trailing fields (perlfunc says they are deleted so b an c give
same result), but shouldnt perl find an empty leading field splitting
':' ?

I have a windows application that has a split container in the client area.
In the left panel, I added controls via the designer in VS 2005. In the right
panel, I want to dynamically create and display other forms that I created in
the project. Is this possible? Can the panel2 of a split container be the
container for a dynamically created form? How else can I create a series of
other windows (forms) and place them in the right panel of the...

Hi all,
I really hope someone here can help !
I have designed and built an ASP.NET web service with Visual Studio .NET.
The web service outputs some dummy XML data when its called with some simple
parameters. I have tested the web service on the PC it was written on
(Windows XP, IIS 6, .NET 1.1, VS .NET) through the default HTTP / HTML
interface with Internet Explorer. All works fine.

I'm having problems passing a default value to the maxsplit argument of
str.split. I'm trying to write a function which acts as a wrapper to
split, something like this:
def mysplit(S, sep=None, maxsplit=None):
pre_processing()
result = S.split(sep, maxsplit)
post_processing()
return result

Here is a function to convert a CSV file to a Javascript array. Uses
idealized file reading functions based on the std C library, since
there is no Javascript standard. Not fully tested.
function csvToArray (f /* file handle */)
{
// convert csv file to Javascript 2d array (array of arrays)
// written in Javascript but file lib functions are idealized
var array2d = new Array(0);

I am working in C# ASP.NET framework 1.1 and
for some reason Regex.Split isn't working as expected.
When trying to split a string, Split is returning an array
with the entire string in element and an empty string in element
.
I am trying two different ways (an ArrayList and a string array)
and both are doing that. Also, IndexOf is not working,
but StartsWith does.
The code:

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
