Installing PHP Oracle Extension on SUSE linux

Hey guys. I don't think i've been into this forum for a while.

I'm trying to install the oracle (ori8 ?) extension on php on a suse linux (v11?). Most of the (google results) articles just say uncomment but the PHP version they have installed does not have the .so file. What I could find that described the extension was for windows .dll files.

Where can I get that .so file to connect to oracle 10g? so i can get the PHP oracle db functions to work.

thanks,

Dan

I have SuSE 9.1, Apache2 and PHP installed. I want to use it against an existing Oracle database on the same server, but when SuSE installs PHP, it is only with mysql support. I am reading that I need to recomplile PHP with "--with-oci8" option. SuSE does not have the PHP source on their website, just the binaries. Does this mean that I have to wipe clean my PHP and Apache install, download the source, and recompile it? I am not an...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
