hello,
I am been getting mad with so many doubts and errors..
I have posted some doubts,test cases regarding listener,replication
and standby database.But i havent got any response..(I am sorry as
some of the queries i have posted twice).Is it that my doubt are funny
and simple for u gurus. I am just interested in Oracle on Linux . i

I am having a problem installing an msi for a web site. The error
message I am getting is:
"The specified path 'http://mipdev05/features/Fas2' is unavailable.
The Internet Information Server might not be running or the path
exists and is redirected to another machine. Please check the status
of this virtual directory in the Internet Services Manager."

I have set a password for the mysql root user so when I do this:
shell> perl -MCPAN -e shell
cpan> install DBI
cpan> install DBD::mysql
install DBD::mysql fails Is there a way I can run install DBD::mysql and
supply the password as a parameter - or get it to prompt me for it?
Otherwise anyone know how I can remove the password temporarily for the root
user in mysql?Angus

WE had a Crystal 8 WebApp using vs 2002 which we upgraded to VS2003. I also
have Crystal 9 pro on my development machine. The web app runs fine on my
dev machine but am having problems deploying. I created the websetup and
built the MSI, have the bundled version. Copied to webserver and ran
Websetup.msi. Said I had to remove old version, which I did, then reran

Based on other posts, this error is not related to C but related more

I'm trying to port a project from Windows+Cygwin to Linux(i'm working on a
Debian-like: Kubuntu), but I'm facing a lot of linking problems.
This project needs libraries xerces and gsl, more specifically libxerces-c,
libgsl, libgslblas. The project comes with an own makefile, automatically
generated by Eclipse cdt on Windows, on wich I made some change to fit it
for Linux.

Having got past the 'PCC-F-NOERRFILE, unable to open error message
file, facility PR2' by given 'other' read access to all the files
under ${ORACLE_HOME}/precomp, I'm now stuck with this not very helpful

I can run an exe ( and its install ) i have created on my machine.
The exe has a button that populates a dataset and then shoots it to a
crystal report.
But...
Installing the setup.exe on my other pc, and running it I get an error.
The Dataset loads properly, but when the button is pushed to view the report

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
