Reg Oracle reports builder passing parameters

10 New Member
Hi,
I am using reports builder for generating report.
In my report iam sending parameters from one jsp to other jsp.
In the second jsp parameters are coming good, when iam printing
request.getPara meter("P_REGION ID")
it is coming but it is not applying for parameters in second report.
when Iam running the same report from reports builder it is working fine.In this case it will ask for parameter so we can give the parameter.
But incase of getting the parameter from one jsp to other jsp parameters are not applying.
Please help me out.

Thanks
Naresh

Are you are not able to pass the value from one jsp to another?

Hi, How do dependencies work with Oracle reports? I have a set of developers creating reports in Report Builder 6 w/ Oracle 8i and every time the stored packages change that the report uses, I am asked to recompile the reports. I guess what I am trying to understand is when you run the report (from the .rep file) why does it fail if the stored package has been changed (assuming the stored package is once again valid).

Hi I need to call various functions in a native C++ DLL (FORTRAN eventually too) - passing integers, doubles, (pointers and arrays to both of these as well) and ultimately structures too. I was quite happily proceeding using ModuleBuilder.DefinePInvokeMethod until I started implementing calls to pointer (byref) parameters. The switch to TypeBuilder.DefinePInvokeMethod (the one with the required custom modifiers) has resulted in the...

Hi all, I am thinking about becoming an Oracle developer. I have experience with Centura Team Developer AKA SQLWindows, this is a front-end developer environment for a variety of of database servers: Oracle, MS SqlServer, Informix etc. What is it like to work with the Oracle developer environment? Is it nice or rather ok or so-so, or do you love it? For instance, does it have a nice debugger, is it intuitive, logical, effective,...

Hi, I am working on a requirement where I am returning a string to oracle reports which is more than 4000 characters long. As we know reports 6i has a limitation and it does not allow the diplay charaters to be more than 4000. I am not sure how to approach this requirememnt. This is what i have tried and have failed the purpose: The string is being returned thr a PL/SQL function used as a select col in the query builder and has group by...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
