Hi,
I'm having problems storing large amounts of objects in a ZODB.
After committing changes to the database, elements are not cleared from
memory. Since the number of objects I'd like to store in the ZODB is too
large to fit in RAM, my program gets killed with signal 11 or signal 9...

Looking for tips on how to improve performance on deleting records.

I have a file I need to delete or truncate. I tried using the KILL
command in VB6. I tried using the file.delete command in VB.net. I
tried manually deleting, renaming, and copying over the file... but
nothing works.
I keep getting the error: Cannot delete access_log: it is being used by
another person or program.
I tried shutting down services, I tried killing processes using the
task manager, I tried rebooting, and still, I get...

I have the need to store a large (10M) number of keys in a hash table,
based on a tuple of (long_integer, integer). The standard python
dictionary works well for small numbers of keys, but starts to
perform badly for me inserting roughly 5M keys:

We have a batch process that inserts large numbers (100,000 - 1,000,000) of
records into a database each day. (DL/I database.) We're considering
converting it to a DB2 table. Currently we have logic in place that, prior
to inserting any data, reads the first input record and checks to see if it

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
