hi,
how do i do a SELECT statment that will just query a table to find the
row with the maximum of a declared field. for example, if i have a
table of customers and i would like to get the value of the last
customer to register so the SELECT statement would return only one
row, how would i do this?
also, the plan i have is to use a while loop (coz i dont know any
other) to get the colum value of each row:

I'm sure this is a concept that's been explored here. I have a table
(fairly simple, just two columns, one of which is a 32-digit checksum)
with several million rows (currently, about 7 million). About a million
times a day we do
select * from my_table where md5 = ?
to verify presence or absence of the row, and base further processing on
that information.

Hello people,
I might sound a little bit crazy, but is there any possibility that you
can incorporate 4^15 (1,073,741,824) tables into a SQL Database?
I mean, is it possible at all? There might be a question of where
anyone would want so many tables, but i'm a bioinformatics guy and I'm
trying to deal with genomic sequences and was coming up with a new
algorithm, where the only limit is the number of tables I can put into
a Database.

m_vScrollBar.Minimum = -19602;
m_vScrollBar.Maximum = 0;
m_vScrollBar.SmallChange = 1;
m_vScrollBar.LargeChange = 1089;

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
