No it does not take up much time. If you had started when you made this post you would have been done by now. It's best to get those drivers from the Oracle site than trying to get them from somewhere else.

Hi! I'm using DB2 database on one server and ORACLE database on the second one. I want to move some data from ORACLE database to DB2 database and update some columns on ORACLE database so I know what rows were transfered. I'd like to do this in a distributed XA transaction and Java. :) How is this possible ? Best regards, Kovi

Hello, I'm trying to write a jsp page that calls a java class, which accesses a MYSQL database, and for some reason i get "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" while trying to establish the connection. I tried putting the connector .jar in the WEB-INF\lib, I tried setting the classpath variable to the connector's location, and nothing seems to fix it. Am I using the wrong class for the driver, or is it something else. Here...

ALL DDL does a commit. Hence Drop Table movies; issues a commit. True you don't issue a commit and the driver does not issue a commit, but the server does for all DDL. That is probably where your commit is coming from. Jim -- Replace part of the email address: kennedy-down_with_spammers@attbi.com with family. Remove the negative part, keep the minus sign. You can figure it out.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
