Hello all,
I have been trying to use the OCI driver to connect to Oracle 9i, but
have been getting the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: Closed Connection
at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:134)
at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:179)
at oracle.jdbc.oci8.OCIDBAccess.check_error(OCIDBAccess.java:2364)

Hello,
We're using Office XP on Windows 2000 SP4.
After installing the Oracle Connector for Outlook the following
problem occurs:
Emails sent by Outlook, in HTML format, do have a strange format. The
text/plain section of the message source is left empty. Therefore some
mailclients cannot display the body, so recipients think they receive

Hi!
I'm using DB2 database on one server and ORACLE database on the second one.
I want to move some data from ORACLE database to DB2 database and update
some columns on ORACLE database so I know what rows were transfered. I'd
like to do this in a distributed XA transaction and Java. :)
How is this possible ?

Hello,
I'm trying to write a jsp page that calls a java class, which accesses a MYSQL database, and for some reason i get "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" while trying to establish the connection. I tried putting the connector .jar in the WEB-INF\lib, I tried setting the classpath variable to the connector's location, and nothing seems to fix it. Am I using the wrong class for the driver, or is it something else.

ALL DDL does a commit. Hence Drop Table movies; issues a commit. True you
don't issue a commit and the driver does not issue a commit, but the server
does for all DDL.
That is probably where your commit is coming from.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
