Hi friends,
I need to round or truncate the time.. If 1:24 means i need 1 clock
1:32 means i need 2 clock ... suppose the time in 11:45 PM i need 12:00 am
and the time in 11:45 am i need 12:00 pm.. the time should be 12 hours format

i write a query in 24 hours

SELECT (CASE WHEN SUBSTR(TO_CHAR( SYSDATE,'HH24:M I'),4,5) >=30 THEN
SUBSTR(TO_CHAR( SYSDATE,'HH24:M I'),1,2)+1
ELSE TO_NUMBER(SUBST R(TO_CHAR(SYSDA TE,'HH24'),1,2) ) END) AS DATEE
FROM DUAL;

it works perfectly because this is a 24 hours format... i need 12 hours

Replace 24 with 12:

SELECT (CASE WHEN SUBSTR(TO_CHAR( SYSDATE,'HH12:M I'),4,5) >=30 THEN
SUBSTR(TO_CHAR( SYSDATE,'HH12:M I'),1,2)+1
ELSE TO_NUMBER(SUBST R(TO_CHAR(SYSDA TE,'HH12'),1,2) ) END) AS DATEE
FROM DUAL

Hi I have asked this question in alt.php as the time() function as used in setcookie belongs to php - or does it belong equally in the javascript camp - bit confused about that. Anyway, can anyone here put me straight on the following: I had a look at the time() function came across this: "To clarify, it seems this function returns the time of the computer's clock and does not do any timezone adjustments to return GMT, so you are...

I have hard time to understand run-time environment. Let assume that I have a program that has a simple variable alpha. When this variable is statically allocated, the compiler can use the absolute address of alpha to access to it. What confuses me is that when the variable is dynamically allocated, how does the compiler implement it? We know the address of the variable until run-time. During the compilation, how can we access to the...

If I want to check to see if it's after "11:36 pm" what would I write? I'm sure it's easy but I'm getting tired of having to work with dates and times. Sometimes I just want time or date. And to be able to do comparisons on them.

Hi, I'm new to access and am very wary of dates as I have limited experience in their manipulation and I know if they're not done properly things can turn ugly quickly. I would like to use a calendar control to allow my users to enter a date but I need them to enter a time as well. It doesn't look like the calendar control will allow times to be entered so I was thinking of having two text boxes. One text box would contain the date...

I'm having some cross platform issues with timing loops. It seems time.time is better for some computers/platforms and time.clock others, but it's not always clear which, so I came up with the following to try to determine which. import time # Determine if time.time is better than time.clock # The one with better resolution should be lower.

Standard Date and Time Functions The essential date and time functions that every SQL Server database should have to ensure that you can easily manipulate dates and times without the need for any formatting considerations at all. Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
